When the summer days are hot, we somehow enjoy cold snacks more than heavy food, which is difficult to digest.
Salty rolls look very decorative, they can also be served as an appetizer or main dish on hot summer days.
INGREDIENTS
FOR THE CRUST:
- 5 eggs
- 1 baking powder
- 2 tablespoons ajvar
- half a teaspoon of salt
- 2 dl yogurt
- 4 tablespoons flour
FOR FIL:
- 150 g of cheese
- 2 full tablespoons sour cream
- 50 g of finely chopped ham
- 3 to 4 finely chopped pickles
PREPARATION:
Then we mix the egg yolks, add yoghurt and then ajvar.
When the ingredients are combined, mix the flour and baking powder in a separate small bowl and add in the other ingredients.
When you have mixed and the mass is combined, we add the egg whites that we previously whipped into solid snow. Add slowly and be sure to mix with a wooden spoon to make the dough airy.
Line a baking sheet with baking paper, spread the dough evenly and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for ten minutes.
Moisten a clean cloth, when the crust is baked, put it directly on a wet cloth together with the baking paper and wrap it in a roll, leave it to cool.
While the crust is cooling, prepare the filling, stir in the cheese and sour cream, then add the ham and pickles.
Mix everything well, unroll the crust and coat with the filling, then wrap it together with the baking paper in a roll and put it in the fridge to cool. Baking paper will not allow the crust to dry.
The cold roll is cut into thinner pieces and served as a cold appetizer, it is very decorative and full of color.
