My Beloved Sushi Place in Bangkok

Anybody hungry for sushi? Or is it your sushi late-night craving? 😆 Let's intensify that with me on my sushi lunch here in Bangkok, Thailand.

Hello fellow foodies! this post I want to express my love for one of my all-time favorite sushi places. Why? you asked. My answers are simple: one, it's right in my neighborhood and two, it's f*cking phenomenally DE-LI-CIOUS! and I mean it.

Mmmm.. let's start torturing ourselves and increasing our appetite. I'll walk you through our orders and I'll rate each of them and do a little review about them.

First off, we ordered one of my many favorite appetizers. "Tako Wasabi" Normally, even though I eat lots of Japanese food, I don't eat a lot of Wasabi, because it's just too spicy and strong for me. But for Tako Wasabi, I'll always eat it with the sushi-dominant meal, because the bitterness and the bounciness help bring down the "fishiness" of (almost) pure raw fish menu.
I gave it (9.5/10). It's bigger than other places and the wasabi is not too strong.


Second, is also an appetizer called "Salmon Tataki". Tataki means Salad so this dish is Salmon salad mixed with spicy sauce.
I gave this one (8.9/10). It's so delicious and they use the part of the salmon that has fat, so every bite was so juicy with the guilt of eating fat and the traditional spicy Thai salad sauce. But, it's nothing special for me because I ordered it every time. And I can find this flavor elsewhere too. Not just here.

The third dish is called "Buri Kama". It's the cheek of Buri fish nicely grilled with its special sauce. My dad said the cheek of the fish is the best part.
I gave it (8/10) because it was so nicely grilled with a tint of sourness from lime and the "Umami" taste of the sauce. It's so good, but it cooled down a little fast, and when it's not so hot anymore. It was just not as good. So, eating it while it's hot would be the best way.

The fourth dish is the "Seafood Maki". Maki is a sushi roll. So this one is filled with Avocado and the trinity of Sashimi/fresh fish: Salmon, Otoro (Tuna), and Hamaji. This is (8/10) Delicious and in one bite you can just feel the ocean altogether, but it's a little expensive, can't be ordering that every time. Too fancy.

Fifth is the variety of sushi(s). I'll just review my order. The Orange one on the left is "Freeze Uni". Uni is the egg/roe of the sea urchin, the only edible part of it. (Obviously haha) It's just (10/10). The taste of Uni alone, some said it's too fishy but me? I can't have enough. Some sushi place doesn't know how to handle uni though, but Sushi Masa knows this Uni so well and prepared it so nicely. Man, writing about it makes me so hungry.🤤

The other sushi I had is "Ama Ebi Sushi", the one with the triplet shrimps. I always love shrimp and this will always be my order if it's on the menu. Nice as always (8.5/10).

And Last but definitely not least is the grand finale "Fois Gras Maki". Fois Gras is the French goose liver and here being rolled in a maki with a special sweet sauce and covered with sesame. I had to, hands down, feet down, everything down (100/10)!!! It's really that good, everybody. I know I made it sound impossible, but man, if you were a big foodie like me. You'll understand the satisfaction and pure happiness in a bite of this Fois Gras Maki.


It almost felt like the explosion of Fois Gras, the sauce, the garlic, the rice, and on top of that ended with the texture of sesame. Just try it, if you have a chance and you won't regret having the sense of taste. I promise you.

Ahhh~ writing this honestly makes me so hungry and have the worst late-night cravings. So, I need to sort that out and ended my appreciation for the sushi here. Thank you, guys, for sharing your passion with me. Sorry if I made you hungry when you shouldn't be eating (like I am now 😭) But anyway see you again! buzz buzz 🐝
