Tempe Burger With Spicy Peanut Sauce: Healthy, Crispy, Spicy and Savory food in one

In a previous post, I have shared a recipe with tempeh ingredients made into Tempe Bacem, which tastes sweet, crunchy and spicy. And now I will try a new recipe that I made for the first time and the results are very satisfying. I like it and I will often make it, especially if you have children and of course need food references that are interesting and healthy but not inferior to modern or junk food.



And the recipe I'm going to share today is the 'Tempe Burger'. Usually you find burgers from slices of bread arranged with eggs, cornets, tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, cheese and others. However, here I will really make a healthy menu which of course all the dishes or recipes that I share here without any chemical mixture or MSG.

The tempeh burger that I made was the result of looking on the internet with a search for tempeh burgers, but I modified it with the ingredients in my fridge without having to bother looking for other ingredients, or going to the supermarket to find additional ingredients. Because the tempeh that I process is leftover tempeh that I bought 2 days ago, and it is still good if stored in the refrigerator.

Immediately, the ingredients needed to make this tempeh burger are :

1. 1 stick of tempeh

2. 1 egg

3. 1 piece of Tofu

4. Lettuce leaves

5. Cucumber

6. Tomato Slices
7. White pepper to taste

8. 1 handful Peanuts

9. 1 tablespoon palm sugar

10. 3 pieces of red chili

11. 1 clove of garlic

12. Salt



How to make :


1. Cut the tempeh into 2 parts, then cut the middle so that the tempeh is a little thin

2. Fry the tempeh until the color changes to brown, remove and drain.

3. Put the tofu into a bowl, mash it with a fork, then mix with the egg, pepper to taste and a little salt, stir until smooth

4. Heat a little oil over low heat, and fry the eggs until the color turns slightly brown. Lift and drain.

How to make peanut sauce :


1. Wash the peeled peanuts

2. Blend peanuts, red chilies, and garlic until smooth

3. After smooth input into the pan and add 25 ml of water

4. Add brown sugar

5. Mix a little salt

6. Stir constantly until the beans boil and thicken, turn off the heat.

All the ingredients have been executed, all we have to do is arrange them into a beautiful plate, the arrangement depends on your taste, and I will try to arrange them according to my taste.

1. Put the pieces of tempe
2. Put the egg pieces that are cut lengthwise
3. Put the lettuce and tomato slices
4. Put the cucumber
5. And after that cover again with pieces of tempe
6. After the perfect arrangement, coat it with the peanut sauce that was made earlier
7. Done and can be enjoyed
