Laddu is one of the traditional sweet that originated from India and flourished to many country including Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh. It is made from these ingredients: flour, sugar, ghee or oil and it comes in various varieties like coconut laddu. The one is picture is Boondi Laddu.
Laddu is served in many of the Hindu festivals. The most popular is Rakhsya Bandhan (tying knot to brother), Diwali, Ganesh Jayanti and so on. One of my favourite sweet but its too bad for health if consumed in too much amount as it contains excessive sugar which is high in calorie.
