Some of the food I savoured before I change my diet!

I had been contemplating to change my diet into no carbohydrate at all. However, after noticing a remarkable improvement in my husband's health after he followed carnivore diet, I decided to give it a try. But, before that, let me eat the food I like first! Sarawak Noodle, Sarawak wine pork and noodle, and dimsum.

Sarawak Spinach Noodle!

I went to eat this early in the morning for breakfast. It was my favourite food because I am from Sarawak. This particular stall at Desa Setapak near my area is a famous one among us, been here for years. I ordered the one using flat noodle we called it 'mee pok' and specifically called spinach noodle because it has spinach puree in the making of the noodle. Super delicious with fragrance onion in pork lard oil. And it came with fish slices and barbecue pork slices. And early morning heavy breakfast was accompanied by a cup of hot milk coffee. Yum!

Red Yeast Rice Pork Belly

For lunch, I went to another Sarawak restaurant called Fatty Kampua specifically to eat my favourite food again. This one was rice set with pork belly cooked using red yeast rice. Super aromatic and not everyone love this, but I notice most of my Sarawak friends will love this to the max. And I couldn't resist but to order another plate of Sarawak vegetables we called it 'mani cai', this was deliciously cooked with egg and some rice wine too. Very flavourful lunch and some me-time as well. After that, I pack Foochow Noodle for my dinner from this same shop.

Foochow Noodle

This is also another dish I love, originated from Sibu, Sarawak, the place I was bornes and full of Foochow people. Basically it was yellow noodle in gravy or soup. The special thing is the gravy. Apparently, I heard from my friends that this was actually a dish for poor family where the mother just simply create a soup with garlic oil, light soy sauce and dark soy sauce, added water and thickened it with corn starch slurry, after that adding the cheapest noodle which is the yellow noodle and whatever ingredients leftover at home. It turned out to be a famous dish at Sibu too besides the 'kampua'. Surprisingly, my two boys love this warmth bowl of Foochow noodle soup too.

*For the entire two weeks in preparation for carnivore diet, I had also eaten few other food I like, mainly rice and dishes from ecomony mixed rice shop, as well as instant noodle Maggi curry, chee cheong fun aka rolled rice noodle and rice with curry beef and cabbage at mamak. And then everytime I ate them, I bid them goodbye especially bye bye to rice, vegetables, sugar and seasonings. Showing you some of other food photos I ate before carnivore diet journey.

Wish me luck!
