reviving over 100 ! years old sourdough

Someone gifted me a nice present:

a sourdough that's over 100 years old!

Not to xmas, already some month back :D

I was very excited, if not also a little confused, because I got it as little pulver
or old crumbs (that have been baken without salt and then grinded down?)

Did not know that works..
I only knew wet sourdough starter from another culture :)

And noooow I finally got a good chance to revive him !

So it came in this neat little paper package (and I'm very happy I managed to keep it dry :D)

and here is the content inside:

then I just take 50 gram flour and put it in a bowl

and in goes the dry sourdough starter I got (that is over a hundred years old :0!)
now we can also see the little pulver, grains, crumbs better^^

and 50 grams/ ml of the best water I got (reverse-osmosis)

that's it!

ALSO:

in general: in bread ONLY COMES FLOUR & WATER and maybe a little SALT - THAT'S IT! ESPECIALLY NO MODERN CHEMICALS!

noow mix !

and now I put it at a warm spot, wait and do the same (except more sourdough crumbs) everyday - add 50gram flour and 50ml water - until it starts bubbling

that means he is ready 😏

ah, and a towel over the bowl
