Greetings @mundohispano community, grateful for the invitation @brujita18 and @annafenix to participate in the initiative Échame el cuento: Cosas que Haces por Salud Mental which brings a topic that in my opinion should be taken with more seriousness and notoriety; if people could understand how important it is to take care of our mind, we would have a better quality of life and we would be much more understanding towards others. For this opportunity I invite @tintaenjupiter @bylsel and @yulilemus
These last 2 years I have been appreciating very much to take care of my mind, more when in it, there were stages in the hovered extremely negative thoughts, I have learned to value and relate better with myself and with others, to learn to leave that which harms me and not to be affected so much by the negative energies that are around me.

Of course, I still have a long way to go to feel good about myself, I have my moments of stress and exhaustion, the kind that you really wish did not exist, but I will share with you how I have been managing it and that somehow it has worked out for me. Being clear that it is not a quick process, there are many ups and downs, even so, you should not give up and try to take care of yourself and seek help when you need it.
The first thing that has helped me out of my stages of depression, are my canine babies, having in your care a helpless being that depends on you, helps you get out of bed and motivate you to overcome yourself, believe me being in bed all day is not good, you think about it too much, and many of those times are not very nice ideas that you have in your mind. It is not that family is not a driving force, of course, but with my pets I feel a very nice connection that makes me appreciate much more those who are around me, seeing their little time with us, makes me value much more the time with them and others.

Another thing is not to pay attention to everything that others say, not in the sense of not listening to advice, but to know the difference between constructive and destructive criticism; it is very difficult to differentiate them, especially when you feel that everyone is attacking you, but I distinguish them in the following way: when a person wants to give advice, he/she also brings you solutions, not more problems to the problem you have, it is not that they solve your life and that's it, but that they allow you to see other perspectives and, from there, you find your own way out, I don't know if I can explain myself at this point, even so this has helped me to not move away from others and look for a better company and in turn, to be a better company for the other.
The third thing that I do and that has brought more energy is not to eat exaggeratedly in the main meals, but normal portions and eat in the intervals of each one; I do not know, if I have noticed a difference in it. Besides drinking coffee only once a day and in the morning, although I consume caffeine very fast, I prefer to reduce it as much as possible.

Prioritize activities from most to least important, set goals, and above all, give me my moments of rest, not to overdemand my body or saturate my mind. I celebrate my achievements, I tell myself nice things, especially when I think I have not achieved anything, even if it is something small, an action or a word that I have done and that I never dared to do, I praise myself for it. Also, I try to stay away from routine, repetitive things do not create good environments and do not make me want to improve myself; going out somewhere or doing something out of what I normally do and this activates my creativity a lot.
And, last but not least, I am grateful for what I have, for what I couldn't and for what I will have, I consider myself a grateful person, and I try as much as possible to give back what I am given, whether in words or actions.
