Hoy como siempre, quiero hablarles de uno de los grandes software libres, que la comunidad de #Linux, pone en nuestras manos, como una herramienta confiable de trabajo.
El software, del que quiero hablar hoy es Inkscape, el cual quiero presentar este #ViernesDeEscritorio, junto con el escritorio Cinnamon, de de Linux Mint 22 "Wilma" .
Introducción:
Hace poco días, vi un post del compañero @rafaelaquino, sobre un tema relacionado con el #ajedrez, y en la parte finas de su escrito,cuando hablaba de las imágenes, él nombraba el software Inkscape. Y de hecho le comenté que iba a usarlo, ya que nunca lo había hecho.
Esa misma semana, tuve la oportunidad de hablar con una amiga, que recientemente se pasó de Windows a #Linux, y le comenté sobre el programa Inkscape, para el trabajo con los vectores en el área de diseño, y mi sorpresa fue grande cuando me dijo que ya conocía el programa, y que de hecho, ella tenía años usándolo en Windows, ya que una vez perdió un trabajo, con una actualización del Illustrator de Adobe.

Qué es Inkscape:
Inkscape, es un es un editor de gráficos vectoriales de código abierto, muy parecido al Illustrator en su capacidad, pero que a su vez posee algunas diferencias básicas, la primera es que es un software gratuito, la segunda es que es multiplataforma, la tercera, es que si el usuario del programa sabe programar, puede modificar el software, ya que es de código abierto y sus repositorios son y su licencia son públicos.

Por otro lado y como comentario personas, te puedo decir, que si estás usando Windows, en una maquina antigua, pásate a ser usuario de #Linux, y verás como tu maquina revive con un sistema operativo robusto y amigable.
También debes tomar en cuenta, que si deseas ver tus archivos de Adobe Illustrator en Inkscape, debes guardar los archivos de Illustrator en el formato (.SVG) para que Inkskape, los pueda abrir sin problemas. Pero el programa, también trabaja con estos formatos sin problemas SVG, PNG, PDF y EPS.
Otro punto importante, es que los usuarios de Windows, pueden utilizar el programa desde la línea de comandos en Windows, si estas interesado en este punto, te recomiendo que leas este artículo.
