November Community Updates
Welcoming a New Team Member
We are excited to introduce our newest team member, Julio Estrada-Valdes. Julio is a caring high school student with goals to enter the health science field. They wish to work with children to have the chance to mentor others and gain experience in Human Services working alongside the One Strong Foundation and the One Strong Community Program directly. Julio brings a wealth of experience and passion for community engagement. We look forward to the positive impact they will have on our programs and initiatives.

As we enter the holiday season, we have some exciting activities lined up for November:
Veterans Day Portraits: Join us in honoring and recognizing the veterans in our community by participating in our Veterans Day Portrait session.
Parfait Making: Get ready for a sweet treat! We'll be hosting a parfait-making event, bringing together community members for a fun and delicious activity.
Classcraft Content: Dive into engaging content on Classcraft, designed to enhance the learning experience and foster collaboration among our community members.
December Vacation Enrollment
Enrollment spots for the upcoming December Vacation are now open, offering exciting opportunities for students to engage in enriching activities and create lasting memories during the break. To secure a spot, interested participants can visit the One Strong Community Program Facebook page, where detailed information about the scheduled activities will be posted. From fun and educational workshops to engaging group activities, our December Vacation program aims to provide a supportive and enjoyable environment for students. Limited spots are available, so we encourage families to enroll early and join us for a fantastic and festive holiday season at the One Strong Community Program. Letter from the Director 🤝
Hello, One Strong Community!
I am overjoyed to share the incredible news of welcoming our newest team member, Julio Estrada-Valdes, to the One Strong Community Program. This young man and I maintain a relationship that stems from a personal relationship during our time at the College and Career Center at Chicopee Comprehensive High School. Julio has consistently proven to be a reliable and dedicated member of our community, showcasing a genuine passion for the childcare field.
The bond that Julio and I have developed over time has paved the way for this exciting venture. Julio's energy, coupled with a willingness to learn and engage with the families in our program, is truly inspiring. I have every confidence that Julio will not only contribute positively to our community but also serve as an exemplary mentor to both our staff and the children we are privileged to support.
On another note, I want to express my deep appreciation to the members of the One Strong Foundation who recently took the time to connect and choose a Christmas tree for our inaugural One Strong Winter Season. Your dedication to enhancing the festive spirit in our community does not go unnoticed, and I am grateful for your efforts.
In the spirit of collaboration and creativity, the students and I have collaborated on some exciting ideas for the upcoming holiday season. We've taken these ideas to a vote among the foundation members, ensuring that the chosen project will be enjoyable and memorable for everyone involved. Stay tuned for an upcoming update post, where we will officially reveal the details of this festive endeavor.
