Hello everyone, gracious greetings to you all wonderful memebers, i hope you're doing okay, so is your little plants in your #homestead farmland, yah about that i'm glad to share with you my little progress so far with my little piece of land i use in planting few crops and rearing our goat.
This piece of our homestead farm land was formerly used for rearing only goat, my dad had about 10 Adult goats and 16 kids, but the unfortunate happened last year, we woke up early in the morning to find most of them still on the ground, Dead.
We were all devasted and shock as to what had happened to them, what did they eat, did a snake bitten them, thats how my dad stop rearing goat, few weejs after the goat house broke down, we didnt care anymore untill the fall of febraury that was the planting period here, my mom had to take out everything demolish the goat house turned it to a mini homestead farm land,
It was actually a good idea so all of us helped out with everything, cause we knew whatever we plant here would blossom cause of the very rich soil, fertilized, the goat feaces are very good fertilizer , we were done with fixing the place, then we plant, but by then the rains were already coming.
We planted maze, yam, okro plant, pumkpin leaves, pepper, curry plant, and a small goat house my dad just construct at some end, just housed only one goat, i guess its just what keeps him going, since he is mostly at home, so caring for his goat is probably what gives him joy, we know how drained he was when he lost all his goat before now,...i mean who would'nt.
I'm grateful that our homestead farm land is blooming and the rains has being coming down more often and so has our crops been rejoicing, its like our pumpkin plants
looking all green, tender and fresh, like you can literailly pluck them off and eat,
meanwhile these ones on the bamboo stick crawling up is the yam plant,
thats how we cultivate yam, because of space we didnt plant enough, so there's the okro plant Just began flowering amd some already had bear okro already.
Okro has a lot of health benefit and so its a necessary part of our plant, there's also the pepper plant here
Then the small goat house right at corner of the wall
Only housed on goat for now.
Thats pretty much it, thanks all for you company and time to wonder around my homestead farmland
