#HiveCommunities - Communities Discovery Initiative: My Favourite Two Communities On Hive

Fri_4_09_2020_00_07_16.png

Greetings, wonderful people of Hive. This is my own participation to the Communities Discovery Initiative. Before I proceed, I will like to give my most superb gratitude to @theycallmedan for this wonderful opportunity to tell the world how we feel about our favorite communities. Also, a big shout out to all the Hivians who had suggested this. Incase you are wondering, this initiative - Communities Discovery Initiative, simply requires you highlighting one to three of your favorite communities here on Hive and the reasons you love posting on them. You can find more about the post here. As of the time of this publication, the initiative expires in 7 days time. Having said that, let us move to the business of the day.

I have been on hive for 2 months now and since then, I have been privileged to post and engage on many communities. And they are all awesome in many ways. But in accordance to the initiative, I want to highlight my best communities so far on Hive. So, here we go!

Power House Creatives

If I am not mistaken, this is definitely the third community I posted few days after arriving on hive. It is a community that is dedicated and rewarding to quality contents, which of course can be in multiple genres. With nearly 3000 members, of which 510 are clearly active posters and over 3000 posts, you don't get bored while dancing around the community feeds. The community is being managed by @jaynie, @zord189 and many others.

With all that has been said, it still doesn't end there. Among the many reasons why I love this community so much is the fact that this community clearly display what is called Unity. I can bet that many people who uses this community on most occasions will in no doubt testify to this.

Now, below are the engagement you can find on a post.

Aside the wonderful engagement that is being done on the the community's post on Hive itself, it is very clear the fun, unity and engagement still doesn't stop there. It furthermore extends to the discord channel, where you get to meet people in the community and get supports in various ways that I doubt you will hardly miss out on one in a day.

For example, aside the fact there are post promotion, which all communities that runs on discord should have, there happen to be a daily-rally channel. Here, a quality post for the day is picked and the community massively support the author in their own ways, which could be Upvoting, Commenting, Reblog or even send a tip to the author. Believe me when I say this particular channel is very helpful as lots of people are being featured in there, giving us the opportunity to expand our connections with the other Hive users we might have not come across before.

Still on the same discord channel, you get to see a member-suggest channel where you drop the link of any post you come across on the PowerHouseCreatives' feeds and you feel it is full of quality but it isn't getting the votes it should be getting. Yea, posting your own link on this channel is highly discouraged, which is very good as it reduces any spam that may want to dive in through that direction.

As I have made known before, the real power of the PowerHouseCreative is the undeniable unity bound that exist within us. That's right! I am proud to be part of them or better still, part of us. This unity bound can easily be noticed in the comments of an authors post on the community. It can also be easily noticed on the general chat channel on discord.

Hive Naija

This is a community specifically created for the Nigerians here on hive, so we all (Nigerians) can have a place we call home on this amazing blockchain. This doesn't mean a non Nigerian is not welcomed here. It doesn't matter where you are from, the Hive Naija Community is very open for everyone. Same goes for our discord channel. Hive Naija was created few months back and it has been doing absolutely great since then. It is managed by @belemo, @nonsowrites and @mistakili. With over 200 members and over 140 posts, you are very guaranteed to have your day being made by just checking on the feeds. For we Nigerians there, we happen to see most of these posts as entertaining and humorous because we can very well relate to the stories within it. Am sure same goes to any one in the community who is not a citizen of Nigeria.

Below are the feeds in the community

Having shown you the activities - some of the activities that go on in the community, we are still letf with a simple question. Which happens to be;

Why Do I Love Hive Naija

Permit me to start by saying I would be a big fool if I say I don't love the community that represents my country on a worldwide blockchain like that of Hive. Aside from the fact that loving the Hive Naija Community is automatic to me as a Nigerian, which is a good reason by the way, there just to many other reasons why I love this community. One of which is the engagement you can find on a post.

Here, take a look at the engagement you can find on a post.

As the colour of the flag of the nation, down to the colour of the logo of the community, which is majorly green, we can metaphorically assume it as life. Even while we (the Hive Naija Community) is just starting, we have a lot of feature to present as to why we can be picked as favourites. First, just like Power House Creatives, we are a community that is very united. A community that has a common goal. I love the Hive Naija Community because it is truly a home to me on Hive. It is a place I can come relax and say things absolutely freely. Don't get it all mixed up though. Hive is a decentralized social media blockchain, which makes it pretty easy for anyone to pour out his or her thoughts. But by saying things freely as I have mentioned earlier, I am taking about saying things or expressing myself in a way I believe I would be very satisfied and the rest of the community members will relate perfectly well with what I have said.

For example, being my home on Hive, I can decide to come up any freaking time and post on pidgin language. One thing about pidgin language is the fact it is always funny and it even unites people the more. Jokes that can be created from this language are completely limitless. And I can practically express myself in a post in pidgin language on Hive Naija, where my fellow Nigerians will flow well with whatever I have to say.

For example, in practically;

Mannnnn...them no go kill person. Watin happen. This one must drop level o. Because me I cannot come and go and kill myself. If I vex now, I go just turn benefit boys 😅😅😅. Anyhow Sha, before yawa go gas, make I drop the Tori for pocket. I no say bad belle them fit land any moment con dey spoil show.

Wow! There is no place like home. That's by the way. Another solid reason I love the Hive Naija Community is the fact that weekly initiatives are introduced each week, with some known whales checking in to give supports to the entries. Talking about the love that is shared among members in discord, this one is really breathtaking. The chats, the post promotions, the assists, and many others. We even go so far into showcasing that love and bound by planning a meet up in a big country as that of Nigeria....oops! Am talking to much 😜 I better pause here.

But on a more serious note, all I have said about the Hive Naija Community are very true. And these are the very few reasons among so many more why I love posting my contents in the two communities mentioned in this article. Feel free to take a glimpse into the this communities and you are very well invited to be part of us if you haven't joined us yet.

Thanks for visiting my blog!
Cheers! 🥂🥂🥂
