Men often time work with voidness in their aspirations. They do all the planning, make all the projections and seal it up without seeking to ascertain the mind of God concerning such issues.
It is not a matter of how viable a plan looks; but, how much of God’s approval you have upon it. We are really not sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as of ourselves, our sufficiency is of God.
Getting God out of your plans and projections is positioning yourself for failure.
The Bible says, you should trust the Lord with all thine heart and for you not to lean unto your own understanding. You are to acknowledge Him in all your ways and He shall direct thy path (Proverbs 3:5-6).
You are free to devise your way; but, you will have to learn to stay open to God to direct your steps.
The ordering of your steps has to do with the God whose you are; you must not seek to do it on your own:
“The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and He delighted in his way” Psalm 37:23.
God is not against the ways you have prayerfully and thoughtfully mapped out for yourself, but He longs to have it straightened out for you. He is on the lead; He sees what you can’t see and He knows what you don’t know.
Hand over your plans to Him and let Him show you the way to go. He is not against your good; His thoughts towards you are thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a hope and a future.
There is something divinely laid out for you, ever before you came up with that plan of yours. You will do yourself good by committing your plans and ideas into His hands and let Him see how aligned they are with His agenda for your life.
It is His will that is being done, His counsel alone is what stands. If you seek to maintain the “void” you have created in your plans in keeping Him out of it, you are most likely going to fall.
It takes God's counsel to make you stand; because;
“There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand” Proverbs 19:21.
You can only stand in what God has ordained for you; because, God stands by His ordinances to perform them.
There is no better way to enjoy divine backing as much as learning to leave all in God’s hands.
