Yes yes yes, the Internet and its children...😁
It's been a little over thirty years since the first graphical browser "MOSAIC" heralded a new way of communicating. A first step towards todays world of digital images. At the time it was the next step in the evolution of Tim Berners-Lee's idea at the end of the 1980s, to introduce a means of communication based on the hypertext principle for free exchange of information among scientists.
Why I am raising this topic has to do with the fact that my personal experience of using this medium today leaves a stale taste in my mouth. Privacy was, is and will always be an important part of my life. What concerns me is, that the Internet is moving away from that. Even Berners-Lee is concerned what has become of "his baby".
And that's where the Internet is less "free/save" than it used to be, or rather, the bossy-freaks of our society are slowly but surely installing total surveillance. All in the name of ‘our security’. Ha, I think it's more for the sake of conTroll and business.
Last intermezzo over here in Europe:
The new computer had a problem with the internet connection. And not just like that. Whenever a blockchain website was accessed, the router cut the connection. Certain chat servers were also affected. Miraculously never a Goolag or Amagoon site. Almost no website connected to the large centralised corporations was affected. Like, Silicon Valley greets us with a big reset?!?
But since this has only been happening regularly recently and it was a new computer, I wasn't particularly surprised at first. Until I had a "LightBulpEffect" in my head, that the VPN connection that I always used before was still missing on it. No sooner said than done and lo and behold, no more connection interruptions. On the contrary, the DSL line was even faster. Hmmm.
Better Be Save then sorry
For this reason, I would like to recommend that you all - install a VPN. This seems to be more important than the extensions against data snooping. There are also free basic offers for everyone, even for Androids.

Ja ja ja, das Internet und seine Kinder...😁
Es ist etwas mehr als dreißig Jahre her, dass der erste grafische Browser „MOSAIC“ eine neue Art der Kommunikation einleitete. Ein erster Schritt in Richtung der heutigen Welt der digitalen Bilder. Damals war es der nächste Schritt in der Entwicklung der Idee von Tim Berners-Lee Ende der 1980er Jahre, ein auf dem Hypertext-Prinzip basierendes Kommunikationsmittel für den freien Informationsaustausch zwischen Wissenschaftlern einzuführen.
Warum ich dieses Thema anspreche, hat damit zu tun, dass meine persönlichen Erfahrungen mit diesem Medium heute einen schalen Beigeschmack hinterlassen. Privatsphäre war, ist und wird immer ein wichtiger Teil meines Lebens sein. Was mich beunruhigt, ist, dass das Internet sich davon entfernt. Selbst Berners-Lee ist besorgt, was aus „seinem Baby“ geworden ist.
Und das ist der Punkt, an dem das Internet weniger „frei/sicher“ ist als früher, oder besser gesagt, die herrschsüchtigen Freaks unserer Gesellschaft installieren langsam aber sicher die totale Überwachung. Alles im Namen „unserer Sicherheit“. Ha, doch eher der KonTROLLe und des Geschäftes wegen.
Letztes Intermezzo:
Der "neue" Computer hatte ein Problem mit der Internetverbindung. Und nicht einfach so. Immer speziell wenn eine Blockchain Webseite aufgerufen wurde, hat der Router die Verbindung gekappt. Auch gewisse Chatserver waren davon betroffen. Wunderbarerweise niemals eine Goolag oder Amagoon Seite. Beinahe keine Webseite die mit den zentralisierten Grosskonzernen verbunden ist. Silikon Valley grüsst uns mit einem grosser Reset?!?
Da dies aber nur letzthin öfters geschah und es ja ein neuer Computer war, habe ich mir zuerst nicht sonderlich gewundert. Bis mir ein Licht aufging; Ha, da fehlt doch noch die VPN-Verbindung, die vorher immer benutzt wurde. Gesagt getan und siehe da, keine Verbindungsunterbrechung mehr. Im Gegenteil, die DSL-Linie wurde sogar schneller. Hmmm.
Lieber Sicher Sein als bereuen
Aus diesem Grunde möchte ich euch allen empfehlen, ein VPN zu installieren. Mir scheint dies wichtiger zu sein, als die Extensionen gegen Datenschnüffler. Es gibt da auch kostenlose Grundangebote für jedermann/frau, selbst für Androide.
