A new episode shakes the health of the cryptocurrency market, in this new event Russians are banned from accessing cryptocurrency exchange services, this in relation to the measures that BitMEX will be announcing in the following days in compliance with the pool of sanctions that Western states have imposed on Russia.

According to information socialized on the Cointelegraph platform, the popular cryptocurrency exchange BitMEX is working to increase compliance with European sanctions against Russia, preparing to apply significant restrictions on its Russian users.

Forkast

BitMEX announced that Russian citizens or residents will no longer be able to access the services offered by the platform from the European Union after July 11, 2022, meaning that such users will not be able to log in to their account or access any services from the European Union.

The information shared specifies that the measure targets all types of traders, including persons operating on behalf of any legal entity, while accessing BitMEX from the EU, as well as legal entities established in Russia, whose traders access the services from the EU.

These new restrictions are in addition to those announced at the time by Binance, an element that continues to increase the hypothesis of the alleged interference of the states in the operation of exchanges.
