South Africa: 22 People Confirmed Dead in a Night-Club

A few hours ago, about 22 young able-bodied aged between 18 and 20 has being confirmed dead at South Africa’s nightclub bar found in the Southern City of East London. It is believed that the cause of the death of the young diseased persons has not been identified by the owner of the nightclub and of the police.

ITV reported that the incident was confirmed a few hours ago by the police but none of the 22 victims has any injury. After the confirmation of the 22 diseased people who died in South Africa’s nightclub bar at Scenery Park where it happened, the police said that much more investigations are yet to be carried out based on the incident because there’s no possibility for 22 young people will all die at the same spot without any attack which will lead to sustaining of injuries.

Following the ITV report, it was confirmed that the 22 people who died in a nightclub as a result of a party which they all arranged to celebrate the end of winter exams but the cause of their death has not really been ascertained. It was also confirmed that when the police interrogated the owner of the hotel in the person of Siyakhangela Ndevu, he said that it was early this Sunday that he was called upon about what happened in his hotel then when he tried entering the hotel to confirm the incident. Everywhere was already surrounded by people but I still forced myself to enter, he said. He also urged the police to do their best to ascertain the cause of the 22 victims' death.

Aljazeera reported that when the police entered the nightclub bar after a report on the incident reached Brigadier Tembinkosi Kinana before their alert, the 22 young people found dead were on chairs and some put down their heads on the table bar.

After the police confirmed that the 22 people were already dead, Siyanda Manana who is the spokesperson to the Eastern Cape provincial health department said in a statement that the 22 people will be taken to a nearby mortuary to enable their parents to dictate their children. She also noted that an autopsy will be conducted immediately to determine the cause of the 22 young people’s death.

President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa has sent his condolence to the affected families of the 22 young people confirmed dead in South Africa’s nightclub bar. He also in a statement ordered the health department and the police security operatives to carry out a thorough investigation on the issue so that the people behind the death of the 22 people will be brought to justice.

In a further statement by the South African president, he said more that parents should try as much as possible to know where their children are at all times to avoid bad stories.

Filling this report from a Twitter account, most people who live far and nearby the nightclub where the 22 young people died have said that the South African government needs to close the nightclub with immediate effect because the nightclub is a fund for selling dangerous alcohol to the under aged people. While some people have said that the death of the 22 young people will teach other young people a lesson.
