I tell you how my dream of studying the career of physiotherapist began, due to personal problems my daughter had to go to therapy since she was little and it was there where I began to fall in love with this career, seeing the treatment they had not only with my daughter but with the different patients made me more interested.
Every time I saw the evolution of the different patients and especially the children it was exciting and satisfying at the same time, that is how my love for this career began even though at the beginning I could not study it and that was seven years ago. At that time my life was quite complicated so I could only dream of someday studying it.
A year ago it stopped being a dream to become a reality, with the help of my mother I was able to get into the University of Health Sciences, since then I started my career and I'm still here.
From the beginning it was quite complicated, especially because I did not fit in because my classes absorbed a lot of time of my day and when I got home I could not rest, I only had time to study. Thanks to this career that I love so much I had to distance myself from friends who did not understand that now free time was little and although it hurt I understand that I could no longer have time for anything but for my career.
I remember when I started my career one of my professors (the one who appears with me in the picture above) told me "thanks to this career you are going to lose friends, family, social life even and if you do not have patience with them even your partner you will lose ". He was quite right, I lost all of the above, I only have my mother who I hardly see and my partner that the only time we talk is before going to sleep and that is only when we are awake together.
Even my mother thinks that I've distanced myself from her and that I'm even upset, not knowing that the only time I see the sun is when I go to the university and when I come home.
Not everything has been bad, I have moved away from people who didn't understand me but others have come into my life who like me are struggling to graduate and we are accompanying and supporting each other.
I'm still years away from graduating but I don't care, I'm just excited to study and be able to become the great physical therapist that I want to be.
I dedicate this photograph to my mother because thanks to her I have managed to get to where I am and what I still have to do. My mother is a teacher "among others" (sorry mother at this time I can not name all your titles because you know there are many and we would lack time) although one of my dreams is that at the time of graduation my mother will be the one to give me my degree and my medal.
I know that at this moment we are far apart but I also know that you will understand that what I am doing is to improve and fulfill that dream that you have to fulfill together.
