Es casi unánime la opinión de que la mejor forma de iniciar el camino en Hive es presentándose ante la comunidad. Se ha convertido en una tradición de cortesía que desde un inicio advierte a los nuevos usuarios que dentro del ecosistema hay reglas que cumplir que incluyen los buenos modales. También es una manera de ofrecer confianza a quienes te leen, de estar interactuando con un sujeto real, asunto en el cual, los avances tecnológicos se han encargado de difuminar la línea divisoria.
Pues bien, soy Leopoldo, un cubano llegando a Hive, algo que deseaba desde hace tiempo, pero que había aplazado por múltiples razones, siendo una de mucho peso: su complejidad. Mis 59 años, me etiquetan como un migrante digital, por lo que me cuesta más digerir el entorno conceptual en el que se construye esta casa virtual.

It is almost unanimous that the best way to start your way in Hive is to introduce yourself to the community. It has become a tradition of courtesy that from the start warns new users that within the ecosystem there are rules to follow, including good manners. It is also a way of offering confidence to those who read you, that they are interacting with a real subject, a matter in which technological advances have blurred the borderline.
Well, I am Leopoldo, a Cuban arriving at Hive, something I had wanted for a long time, but had postponed for many reasons, one of them being very important: its complexity. My 59 years, label me as a digital migrant, so it is more difficult for me to understand the conceptual environment in which this virtual house is built.

Aunque aún estoy lleno de interrogantes, decidí dar el primer paso, pues lo considero un lugar ideal para la creación de contenidos, cosa que me ha gustado siempre. Agradecería la ayuda y los buenos consejos de los que ya llevan tiempo por acá. Comienzo haciéndolo con los profesores de Hive desde Cero, curso organizado por @soy-laloreto. Although I am still full of questions, I decided to take the first step, because I consider it an ideal place for content creation, something I like to do. I would appreciate help and good advice from those who have been here for a long time. I start doing it with the teachers of Hive desde Cero, a course organized by @soy-laloreto. Un paso necesario / A necessary step.
Les decía que me atrae crear contenido. Todo comenzó siendo muy pequeño. En eso influyó mucho mi tía favorita, la que visitaba regularmente a la salida de la escuela. Me esperaba con dos obsequios: un delicioso dulce casero y algún libro que disfrutaba tanto como el azucarado manjar y sobre el cual solíamos tertuliar después de leerlo. Los mejores recuerdos que guardo de mi infancia y adolescencia se mezclan con personajes de esos libros, mundos a los que me mudaba mientras leía.
Beber de tanta riqueza literaria despertó mi fantasía. Por ese entonces, escribí cuentos y poemas infantiles que llenaron muchas cuartillas. Los agrupaba en cuadernos, a modo de libros, al que ponía título y “publicaba” bajo un sello editorial que me inventé. Como ven aquello de escribir me lo tomaba muy en serio. En una ocasión envié a un programa de radio algunos de mis escritos y fue grande el regocijo al escuchar cómo declamaban mis poemas y narraban mis relatos.
Cuando estudiaba en el preuniversitario, un profesor, escritor aficionado, creó un taller literario con los estudiantes. En ese grupo, aprendimos algunos rudimentos del arte de escribir y pude interactuar con otros jóvenes que también compartían mi afición. De esa época guardo el recuerdo de un concurso literario, donde presenté un cuento que resultó premiado. Todo un acontecimiento para mí.
Luego vino una sequía creativa, solo interrumpida por temporadas, cuando un amor, una fecha destacada o la llegada de los hijos me sirvieron de motivación. Terminé estudiando una carrera de números: Cibernética económica, bien distinta a la de periodismo con la que soñaba.

I was telling them that I am attracted to creating content. It all started when I was a child. My favorite aunt, whom I used to visit regularly when I got out of school, had a lot of influence in that. She would wait for me with two gifts: a delicious homemade dessert and a book that I enjoyed as much as the sweet delicacy and about which we used to chat after reading it. The best memories I have of my childhood and adolescence are mixed with characters from those books, worlds I moved to while reading.
Drinking from such literary richness awakened my fantasy. At that time, I wrote children's stories and poems that filled many pages. I grouped them in notebooks, like books, which I titled and “published” under a publishing label that I invented. As you can see, I took writing very seriously. On one occasion I sent some of my writings to a radio program, and it was a great joy to hear how they declaimed my poems and narrated my stories.
When I was a pre-university student, a teacher, an amateur writer, created a literary group with students. In that group, we learned some basics of the art of writing, and I was able to interact with other students who also shared my hobby. From that time, I remember a literary contest, where I submitted a short story that was awarded a prize. It was a great success for me.
Then came a creative drought, only interrupted by seasons, when a love, an important date or the birth of children inspired me. I ended up studying a career in numbers: economic cybernetics, quite a contrast to the journalism I had dreamed of.

En el 2020, al disponer de más tiempo para el ocio a causa de la pandemia, comencé a interesarme por el tema cripto relacionado con las plataformas de creación de contenido. Un buen día me invitaron a entrar en una red social llamada Noise.cash, a la cual agradezco el renacer de mi entusiasmo por las letras, algo que disfruto verdaderamente y había abandonado. Esta vez con el añadido de que mis escritos fueron leídos más allá del ámbito familiar.
Quien escribe, tras el avatar que ya he empleado en otras plataformas, ha vivido una experiencia personal tan ordinaria como la de la mayoría de los que me leen. Ese es el motivo por el cual no entraré en detalles personales. Miren sus vidas y encontrarán referentes sobre la mía.

In 2020, having more free time because of the pandemic, I started to get interested in crypto related to content creation platforms. One day I was invited to join a social network called Noise.cash, to which I am thankful for the revival of my enthusiasm for letters, something I truly enjoy and had abandoned. This time with the added bonus that my writings were read beyond the family circle.
The writer, behind the avatar that I have already used in other platforms, has lived a personal experience as ordinary as most of those who read me. That is the reason why I will not go into personal details. Look at their lives and you will find references to mine.

Desde mi alter ego, sin embargo, puede que les resulte más interesante. Como un actor, puedo desdoblarme en diferentes personajes a través de mis escritos. Intentaré narrar historias, me atreveré a rimar versos, a exponer puntos de vista sobre temas polémicos para propiciar un debate respetuoso con la opinión distinta; en fin, divertirnos juntos, mientras ejercito una de las cosas que más me cautivan: escribir.

From my alter ego, however, you may find it more interesting. As an actor, I can unfold myself in different characters through my writings. I will try to narrate stories, I will dare to rhyme verses, to expose points of view on controversial issues to encourage a respectful debate with the different opinion; in other words, to have fun together, while I exercise one of the things that fascinate me: writing.
