Holii, bienvenidos a la última parte de mi blog sobre Rosalía, quise separarlo en 3 partes para poder hablar a profundidad y/o detalladamente de sus álbumes como de sus canciones.
En esta última parte quiero hablar sobre su más reciente lanzamiento y es su disco Motomami, por el cual la han criticado como alabado muchísimo.

In this last part I want to talk about her most recent release and that is her album Motomami, for which she has been criticized and praised a lot.
Como hice mención en mi anterior blog, Rosalía nos mantuvo en la espera de un nuevo álbum por mucho tiempo, el 2 de Noviembre de 2021, nos dio un adelanto y nos presento el nombre que llevaría este nuevo álbum
As I mentioned in my previous blog, Rosalía kept us waiting for a new album for a long time, on November 2, 2021, she gave us a preview and presented the name of this new album.
El 8 de Noviembre, nos da el tráiler de la primera canción del disco llamada La Fama, la cual cuenta con una colaboración nada esperada.
Acá es donde nos empieza a dejar desconcertados debido a que se distingue que es una especie de bachata, desconcierto que aumenta al ver que The Weeknd participa en esta canción siendo él un artista que se conoce mayormente por sus canciones R&B, Hip Hop, Pop y entre otros géneros parecidos; pero no como cantante de música, mayormente conocida como, latina.
En el tráiler se puede escuchar cantar a The Weeknd en español y, aunque, esto no es nada nuevo, debido a que lo hemos visto en anteriores ocasiones haciéndolo, sigue siendo algo no muy esperado.
El 11 de Noviembre sale a la luz, oficialmente, el primer sencillo de Motomami; como su tráiler nos vendía, es una bachata junto a The Weeknd y este canta en español.
La verdad la canción es muy buena, es extraña y algo que no te esperas, sobre todo si nos acordamos del vídeo de presentación para el nombre del disco, el cual tenía un sonido totalmente diferente a lo que nos encontramos en esta canción.
Desde aquí podemos deducir que Motomami no será mucho lo que pensamos desde un principio.
El vídeo es muy estético, me gusta mucho que Rosalía sea el cazador y The Weeknd la presa, porque es un cambio de roles de lo que estamos acostumbrados; a pesar que el vídeo es simple, puede interpretarse de varias formas, de hecho, uno de mis creadores de contenido favorito y uno de mis placeres culposos, que habla mayormente de teorías conspirativas, hizo un vídeo hablando de este videoclip alegando que es claramente una representación de un sacrificio y/o pacto de sangre con el Diablo. Es muy gracioso pero tampoco es tan descabellado.
On November 8, he gives us the trailer of the first song of the album called La Fama, which features a not expected collaboration.
This is where we start to get puzzled because we can distinguish that it's a kind of bachata, a puzzling that increases when we see that The Weeknd participates in this song being an artist who is known mostly for his R&B songs, Hip Hop, Pop and other similar genres; but not as a singer of music, mostly known as, Latin.
In the trailer you can hear The Weeknd singing in Spanish and, although, this is nothing new, since we have seen him doing it in previous occasions, it is still something not very expected.
On November 11th, the first single from Motomami is officially released; as the trailer sold us, it's a bachata with The Weeknd and he sings in Spanish.
The truth is the song is very good, it's strange and something you don't expect, especially if we remember the video presentation for the name of the album, which had a totally different sound to what we find in this song.
From here we can deduce that Motomami will not be much what we thought from the beginning.
The video is very aesthetic, I really like that Rosalía is the hunter and The Weeknd is the prey, because it's a role reversal from what we are used to; even though the video is simple, it can be interpreted in several ways, in fact, one of my favorite content creators and one of my guilty pleasures, who talks mostly about conspiracy theories, made a video talking about this music video claiming that it is clearly a representation of a sacrifice and/or blood pact with the Devil. It's pretty funny but it's not that far-fetched either.
El 2 de Febrero de 2022 nos da un adelanto de su siguiente canción Saoko.
Volvemos a escuchar algo totalmente diferente y nada esperado, sonidos totalmente experimentales pero algo conocidos debido a que es algo que venimos escuchando desde El Mal Querer.
Dos días después podemos escuchar Saoko oficialmente.
Para empezar escuchamos algo muy conocido y es el "Saoko papi Saoko" de la canción de Daddy Yankee y Wisin; luego nos damos cuenta que la canción es totalmente diferente a lo que pensábamos, sin embargo, no se sale tanto de lo que Rosalía nos ha tenido acostumbrados cuando de sonido hablamos; con respecto a la letra, si es algo totalmente ajeno a todo, podría decir que en cierta parte no tiene sentido alguno lo que dice.
Pero como todo, no puedes juzgar algo en su totalidad solo por una sola cosa y, en lo personal, Saoko es muy buena.
El vídeo es, como yo lo catalogo, rustico; hay muchas motos pero son mujeres quienes las conducen, reafirmando lo que nos viene dando Rosalía desde sus inicios y su empoderamiento para/como mujer. Así como la canción, son expresiones oscuras y pesadas; hay muchos cortes como en la canción lo hay.
February 2, 2022 gives us a preview of her next song Saoko.
We hear again something totally different and not at all expected, totally experimental sounds but somewhat familiar because it is something we have been listening to since El Mal Querer.
Two days later we can officially listen to Saoko.
To begin with we hear something very well known and it is the "Saoko papi Saoko" from the song by Daddy Yankee and Wisin; then we realize that the song is totally different from what we thought, however, it's not so different from what Rosalía has had us used to when we talk about sound; with respect to the lyrics, if it's something totally alien to everything, I could say that in some part it makes no sense whatsoever what it says.
But like everything else, you can't judge something as a whole by just one thing and, personally, Saoko is very good.
The video is, as I call it, rustic; there are a lot of motorcycles but it's women riding them, reaffirming what Rosalía has been giving us since her beginnings and her empowerment for/as a woman. Just like the song, they are dark and heavy expressions; there are many cuts as there are in the song.
Rosalía, en esta ocasión, nos empieza a mostrar el álbum mediante videoclips, primero con sus tráiler para vendernos una idea de su próxima canción y luego con el vídeo musical de la canción oficial.
Nos presenta el teaser de la canción Chicken Teriyaki; volvemos a escuchar algo diferente, mientras que Saoko tenía un sonido bastante pesado, con muchos bajos y distorsiones, nos encontramos con que Chicken Teriyaki es muy viva, muy fresca y muy dinámica.
Como dije, la canción es muy viva, te dan ganas de bailar y celebrar; es un ritmo muy contagioso y el coro es perfecto para un Tiktok, que es la red social perfecta para publicitar cualquier producto.
El vídeo, como la canción, es muy dinámico; mucho baile, mucha energía y volvemos a ver esos juegos de cámara extraños que empezamos a ver en Saoko.
Esta canción recibió mucha crítica porque es muy comercial y nada a lo que Rosalía nos acostumbro con El Mal Querer, pero eso es un error de la gente suponer que Rosalía siempre nos daría algo como su disco anterior.
Rosalía, on this occasion, starts showing us the album through video clips, first with her trailers to sell us an idea of her next song and then with the music video of the official song.
We are presented with the teaser of the song Chicken Teriyaki; we hear again something different, while Saoko had a rather heavy sound, with a lot of bass and distortions, we find that Chicken Teriyaki is very lively, very fresh and very dynamic.
As I said, the song is very lively, it makes you want to dance and celebrate; it's a very contagious rhythm and the chorus is perfect for a Tiktok, which is the perfect social network to advertise any product.
The video, like the song, is very dynamic; lots of dancing, lots of energy and we see again those strange camera games that we started to see in Saoko.
This song received a lot of criticism because it's very commercial and nothing like what Rosalía got us used to with El Mal Querer, but that is a mistake for people to assume that Rosalía would always give us something like her previous album.
Y he aquí el vídeo como la canción más esperado de Motomami, Hentai, debido a que ella filtró el coro por medio de su Tiktok personal y la letra conmocionó a mucha gente.
Nos presenta un sonido tranquilo, volviendo a romper nuestras expectativas, su voz es muy serena y armoniosa; pero de retente hay una explosión de sonidos parecidos a los del reggaetón de antes o a los de disparos que, sencillamente, nos vuelven a romper la cabeza con la misma canción, dándonos cuenta que, tan simple como, no podemos tener expectativas con este álbum ni con sus canciones porque no será nada parecido a lo que pensamos.
Debo admitir que esta es una de mis canciones favoritas de Motomami, porque habla de sexo sin prejuicio pero sin ser demasiado explicito como la música urbana actual nos tiene acostumbrados; realmente es como cualquier canción de Bad Bunny, Anuel, Plan B, Noriel, etc; donde hablan de sexo de manera explicita o subliminalmente.
Como todos los vídeos de este álbum, van acorde a la canción; el audiovisual te transmite paz pero sensualidad, la iluminación me parece preciosa y, justo cuando la canción estalla, el vídeo también con cortes violentos y movimientos de cámara bruscos.
Siento que el material simboliza una relación sexual, empieza lenta y tranquila pero luego estalla en un climax violento para luego culminar tranquilizando el ritmo de nuevo gradualmente.
And here is the video as Motomami's most anticipated song, Hentai, because she leaked the chorus through her personal Tiktok and the lyrics shocked many people.
He presents us with a calm sound, again breaking our expectations, his voice is very serene and harmonious; but suddenly there is an explosion of sounds similar to the reggaeton sounds of the past or the gunshots that simply break our heads again with the same song, making us realize that, as simple as, we cannot have expectations with this album nor with his songs because it will not be anything like what we thought it would be.
I must admit that this is one of my favorite Motomami songs, because it talks about sex without prejudice but without being too explicit as current urban music has us used to; it's really like any song by Bad Bunny, Anuel, Plan B, Noriel, etc; where they talk about sex explicitly or subliminally.
Like all the videos on this album, they go according to the song; the audiovisual transmits peace but sensuality, the lighting seems beautiful to me and, just when the song explodes, the video also with violent cuts and sudden camera movements.
I feel that the material symbolizes a sexual relationship, it starts slow and calm but then explodes in a violent climax to culminate gradually calming down the rhythm again.
El 18 de Marzo, sale al mercado Motomami oficialmente; en su canal de Youtube lanzó los audios de todas sus canciones pero, como ya hable de las que tienen vídeo, voy a hablar del resto.
Empezamos con Bulerías.
Una canción que me parece que esta hecha en a capela, acompañada nada más de palmas y voces de fondo; la canción es una manera de callar las críticas que tanto la han perseguido desde que empezó a sacar música diferente a El Mal Querer.
Algo que amo mucho de Rosalía es que siempre, en sus vídeos o audios de canciones, ponen la letra en la descripción para que vayas siguiendo y entendiendo mejor la canción, debido a que, a veces, por su acento español y la forma de cantar, no se le entiende muy bien qué es lo que dice.
On March 18, Motomami was officially released; on his Youtube channel he released the audios of all his songs but, as I already talked about the ones with video, I'm going to talk about the rest.
Let's start with Bulerías.
A song that seems to me to be done in a cappella, accompanied only by clapping and background vocals; the song is a way of silencing the critics that have persecuted her so much since she began to release music other than El Mal Querer.
Something I really love about Rosalía is that in her videos or audios of songs, they always put the lyrics in the description so that you can follow and understand the song better, because sometimes, due to her Spanish accent and the way she sings, you can't really understand what she is saying.
Esta canción me encanta, el ritmo es como el tono de los teléfonos de juguete cuando uno era niño; aquí entendí que Motomami es, realmente, lo que a Rosalía le dio la gana que fuera, no tiene por qué tener un sentido específico porque a veces el arte no lo tiene.
Volvemos con los temas de empoderamiento femenino, dejando claro que tenemos valor y que nada puede con nosotras.
Me encanta cuando dice "No basé mi carrera en tener hits, tengo hits porque yo senté las bases" porque está, nuevamente, callando las bocas de quienes la critican; Motomami está hecho por diversión y por amor a la música, no para ser comercializado.
I love this song, the rhythm is like the tone of toy telephones when you were a child; here I understood that Motomami is really whatever Rosalía wanted it to be, it doesn't have to have a specific meaning because sometimes art doesn't have one.
We return to the themes of female empowerment, making it clear that we have value and that nothing can defeat us.
I love it when she says "I didn't base my career on having hits, I have hits because I laid the groundwork" because she is, again, shutting the mouths of those who criticize her; Motomami is made for fun and for the love of music, not to be commercialized.
Esta canción es increíble, debo admitir que no sé a quién le canta, por ahí leí que era a un sobrino de ella que falleció, pero la verdad, soy ignorante del tema; sin embargo, la letra de esta canción es una de las que más me ha llegado de este disco.
Se siente que es en extremo personal, lo que se reafirma con el audio del final, donde su abuela le habla en Catalán.
La voz de Rosalía es maravillosa, es hipnotizante en lo absoluto; sin importar cuántos recursos use como el Autotune y otros, su voz al natural es increíble y esas herramientas solo son para darle un toque específico a cada canción.
Vuelve a dejar en claro que "Esto no es El Mal Querer, es el mal desear", para que la gente deje de comparar. Habla también de el costo de la fama y de lo peligrosa que puede ser, en su canción La Fama, ya expone lo terrible que puede ser ella; pero acá lo hace de una manera más personal diciendo que no quiere llevar a un alma inocente a ese mundo tan terrible.
This song is incredible, I must admit that I don't know who she is singing to, I read that it was to a nephew of hers who passed away, but the truth is that I'm ignorant of the subject; however, the lyrics of this song are one of the most touching of this album.
It feels extremely personal, which is reaffirmed by the audio at the end, where her grandmother speaks to her in Catalan.
Rosalía's voice is wonderful, it's mesmerizing in the absolute; no matter how many resources she uses like Autotune and others, her natural voice is incredible and those tools are just to give a specific touch to each song.
He makes it clear again that "This is not El Mal Querer, it's the bad desire", so that people stop comparing. She also talks about the cost of fame and how dangerous it can be, in her song La Fama, she already exposes how terrible it can be; but here she does it in a more personal way saying that she doesn't want to take an innocent soul to such a terrible world.
Tenemos la canción que le da nombre al álbum, es una canción corta y otra vez, nos cambia el sonido; Motomami simplemente se resume en saltos de estilos y hasta géneros, su canción es la prueba de.
"A cada copia que ves, tú dale tu bendición y yo no quiero competir, si no hay comparación" se reafirma que este no es un álbum que nació para ser comercializado como muchos en la industria, es un álbum que nació por amor a hacer música y, hasta se pudiese decir, que por diversión. Rosalía no tiene necesidad de competir con otros artistas de la industria porque ella ama hacer música y eso es lo que la motiva a seguir haciéndola, así ya no quede nadie que la escuche.
We have the song that gives name to the album, it's a short song and again, it changes the sound for us; Motomami is simply summed up in jumps of styles and even genres, his song is proof of.
"To every copy you see, you give your blessing and I don't want to compete, if there is no comparison" reaffirms that this isn't an album that was born to be commercialized like many in the industry, it's an album that was born for the love of making music and, you could even say, for fun. Rosalía has no need to compete with other artists in the industry because she loves making music and that is what motivates her to continue making it, even if there is no one left to listen to her.
Diablo es una de las pocas que no me gustó, sin embargo, volvemos a tener sonidos diferentes no acordes con el hilo que crees que tiene Motomami, aunque ya a estas alturas podemos ver que Motomami no tiene un hilo.
La letra sí sigue con el hilo parecido al de G3 N15 sobre los precios de la fama y de que la vida de un artista o personaje público no es tan deseable como muchos creen.
Diablo is one of the few that I didn't like, however, we are back to having different sounds not in line with the thread you think Motomami has, although by now we can see that Motomami doesn't have a thread.
The lyrics do follow the thread similar to G3 N15 about the prices of fame and that the life of an artist or public figure isn't as desirable as many believe.
Seguros ya están cansados que diga que Motomami siempre está rompiendo expectativas y no encaja en ningún género, bueno, disculpen pero debo volver a repetirlo gracias a esto:
Cuando escuché esta canción mi cabeza explotó, empieza como un bolero y ya por eso, no es algo que esperas para nada en este álbum, para luego poner sonidos parecidos al pop de Justin Timberlake.
La letra habla de alguien que, por fama, dinero o simplemente, entretenimiento; lastimó a otra persona sin importar en lo más mínimo sus sentimientos, igual esa persona espera que la otra regrese cuando se dé cuenta de lo que perdió.
I'm sure you're tired of me saying that Motomami is always breaking expectations and doesn't fit into any genre, well, excuse me but I have to say it again thanks to this.
IT'S A BOLERO!!! When I heard this song my head exploded, it starts as a bolero and that's why, it's not something you expect at all in this album, to then put sounds similar to Justin Timberlake's pop.
The lyrics talk about someone who, for fame, money or simply entertainment, hurt another person without caring in the least about their feelings, just like that person expects the other person to come back when they realize what they lost.
Otra canción extraña que, sinceramente, tampoco me gusta; es una mezcla rara de sonidos que no me termina de convencer, sé que todo el disco es una mezcla rara de sonidos pero esta no es muy de mi agrado; la letra habla de la gente que se cree especial y alguien de notar, pero al extremo, cuando soy personas ordinarías como todos lo somos.
Another strange song that, honestly, I don't like either; it's a weird mix of sounds that doesn't convince me, I know that the whole album is a weird mix of sounds but this one isn't to my liking; the lyrics talk about people who think they are special and someone of note, but to the extreme, when I'm an ordinary person like we all are.
Llegamos a mi canción favorita de TODO el disco, Como un G.
Es mi favorita por el simple hecho de que me identifico mucho con ella, he querido mandársela a la persona en quien pienso cuando escucho esta canción pero sé que no es lo mejor.
La letra para mí es simplemente un cuchillo ardiente que se incrusta en mi corazón, pero es demasiado real, sobre todo el coro "Solo el amor con amor se paga, nada te debo y tú no me debes nada; el querer que no se da, ¿dónde acaba? Si encuentro el tuyo ya será deuda pagada".
Realmente, para mí, la letra entera merece ser analizada parte por parte, pero haría este blog infinito; la música de esta canción es solo un potenciador al dolor y sentimiento que me transmite.
Sé que se preguntaran: Si te duele tanto, ¿por qué es tu canción favorita?, precisamente por eso, identificarme con una canción es un tanto complicado y más a este nivel; así que esta canción, para mí, se merece mil reconocimientos.
We come to my favorite song on the ENTIRE album, Como un G.
It's my favorite for the simple fact that I identify with it a lot, I've wanted to send it to the person I think of when I hear this song but I know it's not the best thing to do.
The lyrics for me are simply a burning knife that is embedded in my heart, but it's too real, especially the chorus "Only love is paid with love, I owe you nothing and you owe me nothing; the love that isn't given, where does it end? If I find yours it will be a debt paid".
Really, for me, the whole lyric deserves to be analyzed part by part, but it would make this blog infinite; the music of this song is just an enhancer to the pain and feeling that it transmits to me.
I know you may ask: If it hurts so much, why is it your favorite song?, precisely for that reason, to identify myself with a song is a bit complicated and even more at this level; so this song, for me, deserves a thousand recognitions.

Aprendiendo el abecedario con Rosalía, aunque se comió una que otra letra, como la L lo cuál me ofendió un tanto, es demasiado divertida esta canción del álbum; aunque sinceramente no sé si se le puede considerar canción.
If you had any doubts about whether this album is made for fun and love of music, here is your answer.
Learning the alphabet with Rosalía, although she ate a letter or two, like the L which offended me a bit, this song from the album is too funny; although I honestly don't know if it can be considered a song.
Tenemos de nuevo una colaboración con Tokischa, ya habíamos visto esta unión con una canción de Tokischa que se llama Linda; esta artista no me gusta del todo, la verdad no es para nada mi estilo y esta canción no fue la salvación de esa idea, tampoco me gustó aunque es muy comercial.
La base de la canción y combinación de sonidos me gusta bastante, pero la letra y la combinación de voces no es muy de mi agrado; no es una canción que estaría en mi playlist.
We have again a collaboration with Tokischa, we had already seen this union with a song by Tokischa called Linda; I don't like this artist at all, the truth isn't my style at all and this song was not the salvation of that idea, I didn't like it either although it is very commercial.
I like the base of the song and the combination of sounds, but the lyrics and the combination of voices isn't to my liking; it's not a song that would be in my playlist.
Tenemos a Sakura, canción que fue grabada totalmente en vivo; desconozco el lugar y/o fecha que fue grabada pero por la calidad del sonido se nota que fue en un concierto.
Esta canción trata de lo efímera que es la vida, como lo es la flor de Sakura, la cual es una de las flores que menos tiempo de vida tiene.
Volvemos con el empoderamiento femenino con "Si tienes 60 y te endiablas cuando una mujer frontea, es que no has aprendido na’ o es que tienes un problema".
La voz de Rosalía es increíble, como ya lo he mencionado; en esta ocasión en particular es una prueba de ello, debido a que es un audio totalmente en vivo sin ninguna modificación o distorsión de su voz.
We have Sakura, a song that was recorded completely live; I don't know the place and/or date it was recorded but from the sound quality you can tell it was at a concert.
This song is about how ephemeral life is, as is the Sakura flower, which is one of the flowers that has the shortest life span.
We return to female empowerment with "If you're 60 and you get mad when a woman fronts, you haven't learned anything or you have a problem".
Rosalía's voice is incredible, as I have already mentioned; on this particular occasion it is a proof of that, due to the fact that it is a totally live audio without any modification or distortion of her voice.
Terminamos Motomami con el último vídeo que sacó de este álbum hasta la fecha.
Esta también es una de mis favoritas de este disco, la base musical es muy buena aunque esperaba una explosión o un climax como en las anteriores canciones.
El vídeo, se podría decir que, es muy Rosalía; tenemos explosión de colores brillantes y contrastantes, uñas, maquillaje, vestuarios únicos, cambios de cámara violentos e inesperados que se ajustan al beat de la canción.
También es una canción con la que me he identificado mucho y he querido dedicar, pero como Como un G, prefiero guardármela para mí.
We finish Motomami with the last video he released from this album to date.
This is also one of my favorites of this album, the musical base is very good although I was expecting an explosion or a climax as in the previous songs.
The video, you could say, is very Rosalía; we have explosion of bright and contrasting colors, nails, makeup, unique costumes, violent and unexpected camera changes that fit the beat of the song.
It's also a song that I've identified with a lot and wanted to dedicate, but like Como un G, I prefer to keep it to myself.
Y así termina Motomami, quiero aclarar que todo lo aquí dicho es netamente mi interpretación de cada canción, cada letra; sé que hay un análisis del disco donde participa la mismisma Rosalía y devela muchos secretos como significados que, como dicen los españoles, flipas en colores.
Quiero hacer una vídeo reacción de ello pero primero tengo que solventar unos detalles técnicos para poder llevarlo acabo.
And so ends Motomami, I want to clarify that everything said here is clearly my interpretation of each song, each letter; I know that there is an analysis of the album where Rosalía herself participates and reveals many secrets and meanings that, as the Spanish say, you freak out in colors.
I want to make a video reaction of it but first I have to solve some technical details to be able to carry it out.
Rosalía sabía que recibiría muchas críticas por Motomami, porque ha estado recibiéndolas desde que empezó a hacer la música que ella quiere; por eso se adelantó a todo y dejó bien en claro, mediante sus letras, que las críticas no son importantes para ella porque, simplemente, ella hace lo que le gusta y le apasiona, no lo hace para vender netamente.
Por eso me gusta tanto ella como artista, debido a que hace arte con el corazón y no por el bolsillo; aunque no sea música para todos, siento que sigue siendo una gran artista que está dándole la vuelta a la industria musical poco a poco.
Rosalía knew she would receive a lot of criticism for Motomami, because she has been receiving it since she started making the music she wants; that's why she went ahead and made it clear, through her lyrics, that criticism isn't important to her because she simply does what she likes and is passionate about, she doesn't do it to sell.
That's why I like her so much as an artist, because she makes art with her heart and not for her pocket; although it's not music for everyone, I feel that she is still a great artist who is turning the music industry around little by little.
