The calming ambiance that enveloped Sogod streets in Southern Leyte instigated our decision to take an aimless stroll around our town plaza one evening. This particular night was warm and humid with a full moon shining brightly overhead illuminating everything with its eerie glow. As university students we needed an escape from academic pressures thus this impromptu excursion was exactly what we required to declutter our minds for some much needed relaxation after sunset.
The only discernible sounds were coming from distant crickets chirping alongside rustling leaves whilst darkness surrounded every household as if they had settled in for slumber early on. The infrequent flickering street lights created elongated shadows intermittently hovering over pavements providing us with ample space to wander carelessly without any disturbances or interruptions.
As we continued walking, we passed in front of an old church. The bell tower towered high, reaching into the sky. The churchyard was dark, but the light from the stained-glass windows illuminated the ornate carvings on the wooden doors.
Returning to the boarding house where we started, we couldn't help but be grateful for this lonely moment. In our busy lives, we rarely have quiet moments. We felt renewed energy and focus and were ready to tackle what was in store for us the next day.
Back at the boarding house, we couldn't help but think how much we enjoyed our midnight walk around Sogod. It was a small moment, but a memorable one. Small things in life can bring the greatest joy and peace.
The midnight walk we had moreover permitted me to reflect on my claim life. I had been feeling focused and overpowered lately, and the calm stillness of the night had given me the chance to think and reflect. I realized that some of the time we got to detach from our active lives and take a step back to energize.
In conclusion, taking a midnight walk around Sogod Southern Leyte was a mysterious encounter. It permitted us to put through with the town's excellence and appreciate the tranquility of the night. In the event that you ever discover yourself in Sogod, I profoundly suggest taking a walk beneath the moonlight. I promise, you won't regret it.
