Flying Finn Esapekka Lappi is still without a seat for 2025 as his contract with Hyundai expires this year and his outing at WRC Rally Chile is the last his season outing. Yeah, it is now clear that he won't have anymore events at the top of the sport in 2024 as Hyundai decided to give tarmac rallies to Andreas Mikkelsen.
He tested with the team in Finland just ahead of Acropolis Rally Greece (which he didn't tackle) so he won't have anymore seat time before the rally in Chile but he is very well prepared and knows this car already very well.
Last year he finished very early crashing out of the rally on the first special stage so he hopes for something better this week
