It is now very clear that Hyundai won't develop gravel version of i20 Rally2 car for the following season because of not being competitive enough on that surface but because of very good results in national series, they decided for further development of tarmac version of the car.
Spaniard Dani Sordo and Frenchman Eric Camilli tested the car recently trying to find some speed from it and it seems that some positive results came from the whole process.
On the other hand, Kiwi Hayden Paddon showed that car can be competive on any surface on his outings in the European Rally Championship because he is leading it and he won ERC last year with the same car.
So the car is good when being driven in the right hands...
