THE RESISTANCE THAT BEFITS THE DEVIL DOES NOT MAKE YOU REST ON YOUR OARS.

Every born again believer is engaged in a work which must not cease. It is something you must keep at, if you truly seek to enjoy a grace filled life on earth. If you need to relax and leave it to chance, the devil will rip you off the wonderful delights of God’s grace. If you chase the devil today; stay cautioned, maintain your balance because you may have to do the same again and again.

1 Peter 5:8-9 emphasizes –

“Whom resist steadfast in the faith”.

The resistance that befits the devil does not make you rest on your oars. The devil is such a deviant, that you cannot afford to take for granted. If anything, he wants to short live the joy of your sweet testimony of victory; the Bible cautions – “Having done all, to stand” Ephesians 6:13. Stand in a battle readiness to give that devil the resistance of his existence. Stand to ensure he doesn’t make a fixed address out of your life and situation.

No matter how hard you beat the devil; he is such a diehard foe that he hardly takes no for an answer. He will always seek for a rematch: but

“Thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ” 2Corinthians 2:14.

It doesn’t matter the way and manner the devil chooses for himself; the triumph God brings shall embrace you in all ways, but you have to be on the watch out, ready to enthrone your victory any day and anywhere. You will need to learn to stay guided ad guarded by the precepts of God’s Word. The more of God’s Word you allow to grow in you; the easier it is for you to identify and prevail over the scheming of the devil. Scriptures affirm –

“So grew mightily the Word and prevailed” Acts 19:20.

The devil is not after you for nothing. He is after the testimony of “Amazing grace” on your lips. He is after the sweet heaven of bliss awaiting you: He seeks companionship for himself in the lake of fire that awaits him. It is your covenant responsibility to deny him your companionship now and forever. After tempting Jesus in the wilderness; with all the “blows” of the bombarding Word of God from their mouth of Jesus, he simply left for a season. It’s an ongoing work. You are able to win today and win tomorrow because of who you are in Christ – A born winner.
