The result that turns out to be yours as you take it upon yourself, to believe God for yourself is never a fairy tale. Your belief in God brings visible glory. The Bible says that all things are possible to him that believeth. This is not just an imagination; it is a reality for those who will plug in to this truth. It works for those who learn to take God by His Word; those who know that God will not say what He doesn’t mean.
Things happen when men believe God for the impossible. Face to face with the tomb where Lazarus was laid; Jesus ordered for the stone to be taken away, and Martha replied – “Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days” John11:39. Jesus reminded her of the efficacy of His Word to her – “Said I unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?” John 11:40.
This same reminder is coming your way today, as you consider the deadness of your situation: if only you will believe, you will see the visible glory of God in that situation. If Lazarus came forth after being dead for four days; your dead situation will come alive to show forth the glory of God.
You may be seeing yourself right now, awfully positioned at what men call a dead end; but, God’s power can locate you there. God alone is the Beginning and the End. Your being at the “dead end” safely positions you in the hollow of His hands, as a raw material ready to be processed for the manifestation of His glory.
Against hope, you can believe in hope. Even when you can’t see any light in the tunnel; you can believe God for Who He is. He makes a way where there is no way. His works are glaring and awesome: if only you will believe, you will see His glory come alive in your situation. If you must see the visible glory of God in your situation; you must refuse to focus on the awfulness of your situation.
Begin to focus on the awesomeness of God’s power. You won’t succeed seeking to focus on the awfulness of your situation. For your story to change, you will need a change of focus: “We all with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord” 2 Corinthians 3:18. Begin to see your situation changing.
