“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16 (NKJV)
Jesus is the gift which is not just “”a precious stone” but indeed the precious cornerstone. He is the stone of whom Paul wrote “thanks be to God for his unspeakable gift” 2Corinthians 9:15
But why unspeakable? Because the sacrifice which he made on the cross on our behalf was too outstanding and indeed revolutionary to be accurately imagined. Only He could have “made peace through the blood of his cross….to reconcile all things unto Himself….” We “that were sometime alienated and enemies in (our) mind by wicked works, yet now hath He reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present (us) holy and un blamable and un reproveable in His sight Colossians 1:21-22
Jesus is truly an unspeakable gift. God the Father offered Him to all murderers, past and present that their iniquity may no longer be imputed to them, if only they will repent and accept Him. He it was who God gave to all liars, all adulterers, and all workers of iniquity that they might be presented holy, without blame and un punishable in the sight of God. Thanks (truly) to God for this unspeakable gift called Jesus – a good gift, a perfect gift from above.

The expected response to a welcome gift is for the beneficiary to receive it with expressions of appreciation. The hand with which we can receive the free gift of God’s salvation is the hand of faith. Even this hand is a gift from God. Faith is a gift from God.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast”(Ephesians 2:8,9).
Your hand of faith does not have to be as big as a mountain before God can move the mountainous problems in your life. For the mountain moving faith is not as big as a mountain but as small as a mustard seed.
Realize that you can’t help yourself; confess your quilt and reach out to Jesus – the gift of God which is eternal life. Jesus said “I am the way”, He is not just another way or one of the ways but He is the way. See John 14:6
Despite all this glaring claims and statements by Jesus Christ concerning the free gift of salvation which He has offered, many still ignorantly seek salvation from man – made sources. It is a shame today to find people in search of salvation outside Jesus Christ. Some have resorted to native doctors, cult houses and the likes. Yet, for some, their religious inclination has driven them to seek salvation of their soul by becoming members of one church or the other, by baptism, confirmation, taking the holy communion and many outward observances of religious duties, to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves to the righteousness of God” (Romans 10:2-3)
Worse still, many of these religious fellows would not mind spending all their life savings in search of this free gift of God. They have been so confused by their acclaimed righteous teachers that they have not bothered to take up God’s word in search of these truths for themselves. They depend on false dreams by so-called “prophets”, seers and apostles. Some have found themselves in so called “spiritual houses” only to sell themselves to demons. Women in search of one blessing or the other, particularly babies, have subjected themselves to the so-called prophets to be misused. These “prophets” take wives of other men to streams for so-called spiritual bath and in the process, other unspeakable things follow. Indeed, they need to be pitied. If you are one of those who have been so deceived, now is the time for your deliverance. You can still be saved.

Ignorance truly is a disease. It is ignorance that has misled so many people into these, follies and bondage. Ignorance blinds. It destroys. It blinds people to the truth of God’s word, even when it is so plain. Ignorance starves it’s victims of all the benefits and privileges that have been freely given to them by God.
