GOODNESS

IMG_20200727_073511_928.jpg

The moral qualities which constitute Christian excellence; moral virtue (English Dictionary).

Goodness is possessing the ability to do good and this ability is given by the Holy Spirit. No man can do good on his own accord.

The scripture says: "how God anointed Jesus with the Holy Ghost and power, that He went about doing good" (Acts 10:38).

A fruit retains and reflects the biological mutations of a tree. Likewise, God is our source and we must reflect the nature of God in us.

Doing good only to people of your creed, caste, tribe, and religion is not pure goodness. God wants us to shine as a light to all men.

Goodness is often tied to giving monetarily- it is not! Goodness starts from you going out of your way for others.

We were commanded to bear many fruits (John 15:8) and one of the ways of bearing fruits is to be good; which will draw men to salvation.
Do good to those who hate you, love them with the love of Christ (Luke 6:27-28).

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers[Galatians 6:9-10 NIV]”.

Goodness is not selective, just like the rain is not selective.
