Indulging in the memories of my tribe

Greetings fellow hivers, this is J and in this blog, I'm going to share with you about yesterday's memories of me and my dearest squad. This squad started when I was still in grade 11 and now in college. As long as we can, we keep our ties stronger. On every travel, we have also created the settlement letter that needs our signature if no one comes then we will throw rocks on their roof. One's expression is everyone's expression.

Our tribe started from strangers to friends. We come from a different place outside and inside our municipality. I know some of them in my junior years as well. During our grade 11, some of them are transferred and others aren't.

We are under the strand of TVL ICT but we also have outside friends in our group. Our bond just happened I can't remember how it started, all I know is we have the same interest and that is we want to chill every after school, we consider it Best of Eleventh. Every after exams or if we have the opportunity to unwind as a group we will always grab it, we will always plan on going on a trip as a group but anyone in our class can still come. Our school is just miles away from the sea and you can have a perfect sunset view after class. Our group had experience and created a lot of memories. We are not just friends we are family. But in our group, I'm always the Cinderella. On every trip we have been when it is night time I should be home before midnight and I am not allowed to go overnights. I understand my parent sentiment because I was just only 16 or 17 at that time.

The first trip that we had planned was swimming in RPJ Forest Resort which is located in Dakit, Bogo City Cebu with an entrance fee of 100 pesos per head. To get there we rode a bus from San Remigio to Dakit which cost 20 pesos If I'm not wrong during that time. I can't swim but my other half is also part of the group since I introduced him to them I didn't know but both guys in our group are transferees as well because my other half is also a transferee in Bogo City and they both know each other. To make the story short since then he has already been part of our group. Water splashed, and Santa laughed, which is what each of us heard during our trip.

Since Lapaz is only miles away in Dakit we have also gone to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Shrine which is at the top of the hill and we have to take hundreds of steps to get there, we have offered our prayers and gratefulness. Two destinations in 1 trip are marvelous.

I don't know what's gotten into us but we decided to go to Bogo and take a stroll as well as buy snacks in Gaisano and watch a movie in a movie house in Bogo, how funny because the boys in our group are more scared than us.

After watching "The Nun" we decided to take a stroll outside we went to the plaza and the so-called Pantaland sa Bogo, where the sun shines brightly and collided with the calm waves of the ocean as the sparkle reflected the eyes of the beholder. Seeing the place full of individuals' random stories is what makes it feel alive.

When our teacher wasn't around or vacant we the other would always pick a guitar and start strumming Filipino OPM songs, tapping the tables to create a beat. I remember singing the song Magbalik by Callalily one of our jamming songs and Kathang isip by Ben and Ben. As we sing together the wildness of our young souls is reflected in how waves of laughter we share. Our group has a lot of musicians sadly I'm not included. I am not a singer but the vibes are killing so I better feel the rock of it. We had a band called Blacktoon Band which consisted of a vocalist, drummer, and guitarist, and of course, the rest were just supporters. During practice, everyone free is and willing to attend the practice to play and to support.

The teacher has picked one of our friends to be a representative of the upcoming school event. Said that it has a plus point of grades. From the costume maker to being a stage supporter what we are. His parent wasn't around so we were all there to support him. That night was also the time I introduced my other half when my midnight curfew started. but it is better than not being allowed to go out at night. After we had finished the product the school provided snacks for the representative but we all got them and placed them in our bags as we proceeded to chill in the sea, wanting to share our insights about the event as the cold breeze of the sea touches our skin and mind speculate the light from above the universe.

Summer came we decided to visit San Remigio Beach Club. We have to save for that trip during school days. Sadly, we are not completed because of the circumstances. Wasn't the best outing but we still managed to enjoy it.

During weekends one of our friends is really into inviting us to chill in their house. her mother is cool with us. When we got there we always did karaoke and prepared the food as well as made the famous buko juice or coconut juice which we called "lamaw." Dueting the Filipino famous devastated song called Isang Lingong Pag-ibig "One Week Love,"

We have also gone by into one of the resorts in Medellin, Cebu. It was my first time going there at that time we decided to go swimming and celebrate George's birthday she was the mother of our group because she is 5 or 4 years older than us. The hype when we all gathered into the place we would meet.

The jeep still has a route in the area at that time. The ride is very joyful for we have to sing a song inside a jeepney.

At first, we didn't have any birthday cake, and what we did was that there's rice on the food counter had formed into a square shape so we just put a candle in the center since buying a cake was not in our plan but since it is the main course so we decided to collect each others payment it was funny because as they buy the cake they are so heavy which cause the trysikad can't run anymore so they have to push it.

As we celebrate her birthday all the boys take her to dance and eat the food we have brought and take a swim. We already have a lot of plans after graduation but we haven't gotten the chance because of the pandemic so when the borders have slowly withdrawn we have planned some get-togethers in the famous Lapyahan sa San Remigio also known as Public Beach.

We have also traveled and visited the Bamboo Forest in Medellin with our bike. In the following years, we entered a different university we still can't forget to set a time to meet and talk about the happenings of each other's life. Where we chill on the shore and chase the sunset. And now in the present, we are busy in each other's life and barely catch up but we message each other on chat. As I gained a new set of friends to cherish I would always want to look back on the craziness, and happiness we had shared in the past.

Dearest Squad, I would like to chase the sunset the following days. Don't let ties fade away if you know how to reconnect them.

Hello, my blog of sharing the memories of my squad has come to an end. Hope that you will treasure every moment you have shared with them as time passes by and all you can do is only reminisce about yesterday's moments. Thank you for reading my blog about connections everyone.

Adios Hivers!
