Birthdays celebrations are always best at the beach. Nothing compares to the fun and excitement to celebrations held at the beach. Last Sunday, my cousin held his 5th birthday celebration at Tomasa Beach Resort, San Remigio, Northern Cebu City, Philippines.
From our hometown, Caduawan, Tabogon, Cebu, we were all set to travel at 9:00 am so we will reach the beach at around 10:00am. We arrived just in time and all the boys got so busy helping around.
I really love to attend occasions like these because it is a chance to reunite with family and bond with each other, time spent with family is never a time wasted. As I grew older, I also appreciate celebrating special occasions more with family, rather merely just with friends. Family time is always the best time.
It is very common that family members help each other out especially when there are occasions like birthdays and so much more. It is a very basic deed to do to lessen the burden by the host of the party.
The boys were so happy to help and the girls just sat around and were the ones in charge of the decoration.
And when all the things from the cab was delivered into the cottage, we then started with the design and organizing everything. It was so much fun being able to do it with cousins and family.
Mandatory picture-taking with the grandmothers and aunts of the family. It makes us so happy being able to reunite with family and enjoy our time at the beach. Thank you much Pedrano family for the invite!
The little boy carried by the man in the middle is the birthday boy, Kian Gabriel, our cousin. Before we ate lunch, we offered our prayers, he blew the candles off his birthday cakes and we sang him his birthday song. It was indeed a happy birthday to him.
Lechon or the roasted whole pig is a star in every Filipino occasion. Birthday celebrations are always special when there is a lechon or a roasted whole pig, it is already a part of our culture here in the Philippines. All the other Filipino food favorites are served at the side. What a sumptuous lunch indeed.
After having lunch, all the kids got so excited to dip into the water and they all did. It is a good way to have fun being able to enjoy at the beach, the kids, which mostly are just cousins, enjoyed the time they had at the beach.
Meanwhile, the adults also have their own version of fun, a little bit of music and a little bit of liquor surely makes everyone happy. It was a fun time being able to celebrate with cousins and uncles.
The beach resort had a karaoke available which was five pesos per song, and there were no other people so we had the place all to ourselves.

There was also a banana boat for rent which was 100 pesos per person, they tried it out and they enjoyed it so much.
We all had a fun time with family and moments like these are indeed priceless, being able to spend quality time with family is something incomparable.
