🧒 La importancia de una buena infancia // The importance of a good childhood 🧒
Childhood, that word that transports us to those moments of our childhood, moments and memories that left us marked forever, that formed us as a person and thanks to that we are who we are today.
I believe that this is one of the most important stages of life; it is the one that will determine and define one's character and personality as a person.
I will always remember my childhood moments with nostalgia and joy, I feel that I had a happy and fun childhood, full of excitement, adventures, travels and many people that I will never forget.
It all starts in family and home, it is important to grow up in a place full of people close to us, who support us and love us no matter what. In my case I grew up with my mom and my older brother, I remember that my mom was always very affectionate with us, very loving and playful, she almost always tried to please us in everything, and did everything possible so that we would not lack anything, whether it was food, snacks, toys, clothes, school supplies, absolutely everything, she always tried to make us happy, and so it was.
I can confess that back then I didn't value so much everything my mom did for us, but now that I have grown up and matured I know that, because there are many people who maybe weren't lucky enough to have a mom like mine.
I think if I could be born again and choose the mom I wanted, I would choose her again a thousand times without thinking about it.
Sometimes she was very naggy, she would get stressed out very quickly, but I understand that it was because we were very restless, my brother and I would run and fight all over the place. She was also very overprotective of us, she still is, but I guess that's a good thing, it shows that she cares about us and wants the best for us, after all, what parent wouldn't want the best for their child, maybe everyone has a different way of showing it, but hers was that, and now I know why.
I can also thank life for giving me a brother, who despite all the differences and fights, was always there for me and I for him. Thanks to him my life was never boring, I always felt accompanied, if there was nothing to do, my brother and I would make up any game to pass the time, we would have fun together, go out together, talk and tell each other everything. I knew I would be fine if he was there with me.
My family also played a very important role in my childhood, I was always surrounded by many cousins and uncles, people who showed me a lot of affection and with whom I lived the best moments of my childhood. I remember every reunion, every birthday, every Christmas and New Year. All those moments that we spent together and happy, those that I will always miss and that I hope to live again someday.
The place where I grew up, since I lived in a relatively large urbanization, I always had many neighbors and friends, practically all of us grew up together, we went out to play sports, from soccer, to baseball, basketball, and when the girls were volleyball. I remember that almost every day we went out to sit and talk, we had meetings, we spent the afternoons playing hide and seek or tocadito, cards and board games, we always had something to do and how to distract ourselves. I think I got to play a little bit of everything, we were very active children, so as I said, I had a very fun childhood.
All my friends and neighbors had different personalities, with different parents and upbringings than mine. And the more time I spent with them, the more I became aware of each one's behavior, of the things they did and said. With them I learned to notice and start to differentiate between the people I should and shouldn't be with. So I think it is important that children begin to live with others from an early age and that they themselves become aware of the reality that not everyone is the same, you have to know how to choose who you are going to hang out with.
The school in my childhood, I have to tell you that for different reasons I was in several schools, they always changed me from one to another. But one in particular left me with the most unforgettable moments, I made many friendships that marked my childhood, and that no matter how much time passes I will always remember them all for the good times we had. Especially the one who was my best friend, Garabet, he was my companion since I entered until I left school and we made a very nice friendship. The truth is that I never heard from him again, but I hope he is well and someday we can meet again and laugh about all the things we lived there.
I remember this school for all the events we did, countless dances and theaters, I remember every costume, every game, every outing to museums, teachers who were very fond of us and thousands of moments that made my childhood something beautiful. Remembering all that causes me an inexplicable happiness, those were good times, times that will never come back, but will remain in my heart forever.
I have thousands of anecdotes from my childhood, but I think that if I told them all this post would never end, I can only give thanks for all the things I lived as a child, thanks because I can say that I had a happy life, fun, with many people around me, thanks to all those friends and family who gave me all the love in the world. All that forged me to be the person I am, a person full of values, love and feelings, who always tries to be better, to help others no matter what. And finally, thanks to my mom and my brother, for being my companions in life.
