"CHERISH A FRIEND FOR HE IS A BREATHING TREASURE"
She is in need of friends😢
Do you remember some visiting friends of yours who wanted to show how they were moved by mercy by the time they knew your physical condition? Or a suitor who is excited to know your response to the love that he offers? The feeling is so special, and this is incomparable. Isn't it? In fact, our smile reaches to our ears that much. Then, chitchatting with each other about various and present issues in life follows. Even reminiscing about the past and inciting humorous happenings that bring forth bursts of uncurb laughter. What a picture of joy that marks on your faces for just a simple visit from friends! What is more pleasing is the bought banana cue and coke from vending-passer-by, probably at 3 o'clock sneak-snack time. Awesome visiting trip with a delightful treat.☺️
However, did you experience being visited by a friend because you were sick? Whether your response is yes or no, both have the same connotation, since I know for sure that you will cry undeliberately.
Nonetheless, the tears caused by a visiting friend because you were ill are a lot different compared to the tears caused by missing out on a friend's visit. Tears of joy will be experienced by the former, but the latter is a tear due to sorrow because, in unkind hour, you were forgotten.
WORRY not instead, though no one can perfecty show up in his whole life just to keep track of each other, especially in times of sickness due to some unavoidable circumstances, hope will find its way again. There will come a time when you are most likely to be remembered.
Furthermore, before I proceed on stating the importance of remembering a sick friend, let us read and view some captured photos during our visits to different people and from various places.
CAPTURED MOMENTS DURING VISITATION
In December 2018, we visited my aunt, EMETERIA VILLACORTA, in one of the hiking mountainous areas of barangay Mantalungon Dalaguete, Cebu, for she was numb from her loins to her knees, thus keeping her from walking comfortably. Tears streamed down her eyes as she saw us approaching.
Nanay (mother) CARMEN ISADORA in Jagobiao Mandaue City was having a mild stroke; hence, she cannot walk without her bent rod. She kept talking about her life by the time we came to visit her. Evidently, she needed someone whom she could lean on.
Unable to move her entire body, Nanay (mother) LUMINADA AGUILAR was caught by Sir Keneth Sungahid (one of the featured men in my previous blog stories) in that situation. Hence, he was moved by compassion toward her. The next thing we knew was that she was already healed. She was able to sit, stand, and walk by herself. Upon learning of this rare occurrence, we organized a short trip from Jagobiao to Paknaan Mandaue City to visit and see how she was.
Another mountain trekking journey happened in 2021 in Balamban, Cebu, when my friend's mother-in-law got ill so badly. Nanay (mother) FRANCISCA MANIGOS was terribly weak as we arrived at their house on Saturday morning. Despite her ordeal, we can see from her facial expression that she's delighted to see us. Unfortunately, last year, Nanay Francisca passed away.
STEPHEN TONGCO, after being tagged by the doctors as Chong Hua's heart failure record breaker and being coded (code blue) 14 times due to heart failure, was discharged last July 2023 with no brain or organ damage, despite the inconceivable type of struggles between life and death experience. On July 9th, a few of us visited him at their residence in Liloan, Cebu.
Just a nearby barangay, we came to visit Nanay (mother) GEMMA ABILLON in Tabok Mandaue City, for she was a total paralyzed with some organ complications. She was glad to have us visit her because it has been a long time since nobody dared to look into her situation.😔
IMPORTANCE OF VISITING A SICK PERSON
1.) IS HELPFUL SCIENTIFICALLY
The immune system is strengthened when you visit a patient, according to a recent scientific study. Because the human immune system is so sensitive to how one feels or what one believes, it has been established and demonstrated in recent scientific studies that visiting a patient strengthens the immune system of the visitor. Additionally, checking up on and visiting a sick person helps to fortify this system.
2.) IS A CYCLICAL MOVED OF MERCY

The idea of visiting someone who is ill or confined to a home might often make us queasy, but this act of mercy encourages us to do it. The human spirit can be greatly cured by the touch of a hand, a hug, and direct eye contact. We who are healthy may find it difficult to visit the sick, but the greatest gift we receive is the new compassion that is carved out in our hearts when we listen to people who are weak or even dying.
3.) IS DIRELY NEEDED

Each of us is impacted by the cycle of life. All of us will eventually experience loss, regardless of age. You could question whether the time you spend with a loved one matters at all if they grow unwell, are terminally ill, or become unresponsive as they approach the end of their life. It's crucial to keep in mind that everyone responds to illness differently, so the closure you may be thinking is focused on your sick loved one may actually be about your own wants and aspirations.
4.) IS ABSOLUTELY REWARDING
Uncle Cris and sick relatives, visitation for the second time, at Tabuelan Cebu.
The act of paying a sick person a visit is pleasant and is a kind gesture that benefits both the sick person and the visitor by strengthening sibling and brotherly bonds, fostering sympathy and compassion for the suffering, and deepening one's faith.
Besides, we can maximize our time and accomplish our goals by being aware of our limitations and concentrating on what is actually significant. It is entirely possible to find happiness and significance in our life, infact many others have done so before us. This purpose is undoubtedly for us if we believe that our friends and family are irreplaceable treasures. Then and only then we can realize such acts are a rewarding experience!
Simply offer a hand☺️
WRAPPING UP:
Let us ready ourselves, for a GREAT PURPOSE is waving at us. Be willing to lend an ear for a friend through a visitation because whether we like it or not, disease and death are common occurrences in nature. No matter how hard we work to eat wholesome meals like fruits, vegetables, and fish to be physically strong and live longer, sickness and death will eventually strike. Don't get me wrong; eating healthy foods is essential for maintaining our bodies' resistance to sickness. However, let us remember that our time on earth is only a wisp of smoke, therefore while we are still able to ACCOMPLISH THINGS correctly, let us not put off doing so. Iife could be present today but gone tomorrow. So, if necessary set a trip of visitation to a friend now.
Thank you for taking time to read my blog story. God bless everyone.😇
