Combat drones have been detected flying over Germany, causing serious concern among German authorities. According to information published by Spiegel, these drones were observed in the industrial area of Schleswig-Holstein, near the city of Flensburg.
Particularly alarming is the fact that the unknown drones were flying too fast for police drones to keep up. The drones were moving at a speed of 100 kilometers per hour, making interception difficult.
The Flensburg prosecutor's office has launched an investigation in connection with these events. The case involves suspicions of "espionage activities with the intent of sabotage." It is known that drones of this type can be used for gathering intelligence or carrying out acts of sabotage.
At the same time, BILD reports that officers from the German Federal Criminal Police Office suspect that these drones are of Russian origin. According to their information, the drones in question are Russian-made Orlan-10 models, known for their high efficiency in combat situations.
BILD also notes that the maximum flight range of these drones is between 500 and 600 kilometers. There are suspicions that they may have been launched by Russian agents from civilian vessels in the North Sea.
These incidents have caused serious concern not only in Germany but also among its European allies. The events involving combat drones highlight the growing threat of using unmanned aerial vehicles for military purposes on European soil.
