Hola amigos de Hive, esta es mi participación en Ready Player Hive, y antes de hablar de Diddy Kong Racing como mi juego de carreras favorito, quiero hablarles de otros dos grandes títulos, que consideré también como mis favoritos en cierto momento.

Hello Hive friends, this is my participation in Ready Player Hive, and before I talk about Diddy Kong Racing as my favorite racing game, I want to tell you about two other great titles, which I considered also as my favorites at a certain time.

Antes quiero hablarles de Gran Prix 4 para PC y Top Gear Rally para N64 , el primero es un gran simulador de Formula 1, no sé cuántas horas pasé jugando este juego, encantado por su nivel de realismo, disfrutando de las últimas actualizaciones, los nuevos vehículos los circuitos de cada temporada, unos graficos excelentes pero que podían ser corridos por mi computadora. Este juego aunque fue lanzado por allá en 2004, sigue siendo uno de los más jugados, y que hay toda una comunidad dedicada a actualizar el juego cada año con cada temporada.

First I want to talk about Gran Prix 4 for PC and Top Gear Rally for N64, the first one is a great Formula 1 simulator, I don't know how many hours I spent playing this game, delighted by its level of realism, enjoying the latest updates, the new vehicles and circuits of each season, excellent graphics but that could be run by my computer. Although this game was released back in 2004, it is still one of the most played games, and there is a whole community dedicated to update the game every year with each season.

El segundo juego Tope Gear Rally, es uno de mis juegos favoritos de carrera más antiguos, aunque el diseño de los circuitos y vehículos es muy interesante, me gustaba mucho el progreso, pues cada vez los carros eran más rápidos y ofrecían un mayor control, para ganar empezábamos de últimos y teníamos que sobrepasar los demás vehículos durante el camino, una modalidad bastante arcade, pero que se disfrutaba bastante. Una de las cosas que más me gustaban de este juego era la posibilidad de pintar los vehículos a nuestro gusto.

The second game Tope Gear Rally, is one of my favorite older racing games, although the design of the circuits and vehicles is very interesting, I really liked the progress, because each time the cars were faster and offered greater control, to win we started last and had to overtake the other vehicles along the way, a quite arcade mode, but it was quite enjoyable. One of the things I liked most about this game was the possibility of painting the vehicles to our liking.

Y bueno el juego del cual quiero hablarles es Diddy Koing Racing, un gran juego que según mi parecer ,superó por mucho a Mario Kart, pues incluía una gran aventura en el que podíamos progresar, y era cada vez más retador, podíamos explorar el mapa, no solo en vehículo, sino en lancha y en avión, debíamos recolectar globos para desbloquear pistas, y si explorábamos el mapa de mundo abierto podíamos encontrar globos escondidos, no eran Easter Eggs pero se sentían como ellos, y siempre he sido fan de los misterios y secretos en los juegos.

And well the game I want to talk about is Diddy Koing Racing, a great game that in my opinion, far surpassed Mario Kart, because it included a great adventure in which we could progress, and it was increasingly challenging, we could explore the map, not only in a vehicle, We had to collect balloons to unlock tracks, and if we explored the open world map we could find hidden balloons, they were not Easter Eggs but they felt like them, and I have always been a fan of mysteries and secrets in games.

Un plus de este juego sin duda era la posibilidad de elegir carrera en un carro, lancha o avión, y algo revolucionario en los juegos de carreras era la posibilidad de enfrentarse a un boss, al final de cada escenario. Pero no solo eso también tenía mini juegos y time trials, podíamos desbloquear algunos secretos e insertar cheat codes.

A plus of this game was undoubtedly the possibility of choosing to race in a car, boat or plane, and something revolutionary in racing games was the possibility of facing a boss at the end of each stage. But not only that, it also had mini games and time trials, we could unlock some secrets and insert cheat codes.

Una vez que terminábamos el juego, empezaba una segunda aventura, en el que los circuitos aparecían al revés, y luego de culminar esa aventura, podíamos jugar otra en la que debíamos ganar las carreras y al mismo tiempo conseguir unas monedas distribuidas en cada pista, un completo reto que no muchos podían lograr.

Once we finished the game, a second adventure began, in which the circuits appeared upside down, and after completing that adventure, we could play another one in which we had to win the races and at the same time get some coins distributed on each track, a complete challenge that not many could achieve.

Diddy Kong Racing, marcó un antes y un después en los juegos de carreras, tal vez Mario Kart es el pionero, pero creo que Diddy Kong Racing singue siendo único. Y No he conocido algún juego que lo superé aunque debe haberlo.

Diddy Kong Racing, marked a before and after in racing games, maybe Mario Kart is the pioneer, but I think Diddy Kong Racing is still unique. And I have not known any game that surpassed it although there must be.
