Today me and Stefan visited a friend in Vienna for some wildlifephotography there. Patrick works as an arborist in Vienna and therefore knows a lot of places where we can find some special birds. He knows a place for the Ural Owl and we decided to visit it and try our luck to find the bird, and we were lucky. I am very happy for this opportunity because owls are except of eagles my favorite birds and I always enjoy watching and photographing them. The ural owl is difficult to spot since it has a very good camouflage color. The color of the trees and the color of the feathers of the bird are pretty much the same, this makes this bird a lot harder to spot.

I am so happy that I have now another bird species on my list of birds that I already took a picture of, and the list is growing and growing. Of course there could be always a better one of an existing species on the list but even though the light was already bad I am pretty satisfied with todays results.
