Corn bunting on a tree stump

The eastern part of Austria is a great spot for some bird photography and I always like visiting it and nearly every time got back with several nice pictures of birds in the past. The region around the Lake is usually a good spot for birdwatching. Although the waterlevel of the lake is getting lower and lower and therefore it gets more difficult to find enough spots for some birdphotography but till now I could find every time some great birds there. There are always also a lot of birds pearching on branches and stomps that are mounted there. This makes it easier to get some really nice pictures of them.

Another reason it is easier to get close to birds there is that there are usually a lot of people cycling around the lake and therefore a lot of birds are used to the presence of humans and this makes it easier to get close to them since they are not fleeing that early. In the morning and the evening there is the best light for some photography and also a cloudy sky helps to get greater pictures. When there is bright sunlight then it is usually not really suitable to do some photography of birds since of harsh lights and shadows.
