Should I be sad?

There are certain things that should be said and then others that really shouldn't. It is all about emotions and emotions are affected by our environment, close relatives and of course our leaders, or people who portray themselves to be that.

In Nigeria, the quality of leadership is at an all-time low and this is as a result of many factors but the top of the list is because most people aren't ready to build a system that caters for the needs of the future. We want it RIGHT now and we suffer for this.

So going back to the leaders and feelings that we have of these men in charge, it shouldn't come as a surprise that most people don't actually have nice things to say about them. This divide has been particularly made obvious in this regime that has been very distant and seemed unconcerned about the wellbeing of its citizens. This has led us to have a complete distrust for the government, and for some that have been directly affected by the obviously nepotistic and draconian style of leadership, there's genuine animosity in their hearts.

This ill-feeling for the Government was quite evident in the recent event that happened. Mr Abba Kyari, the Chief of Staff of the Presidency died and people don't care. Listen, I don't care. I'm not sad, happy or have ANY feeling whatsoever about the death of this man. I'm a Nigerian and proud to be one but to be completely honest with you, I'm also not happy about virtually everything in this country and the best way to be happy is to leave this place. That's all I have to say.
