Today I want to share short stories of real stories of generosity, taking advantage of the theme of the month. What better than to talk about this quality that exalts the soul with real examples.
I understand generosity as the action of giving without expecting anything in return, including even the immaterial, since we can be generous with our time for example, however, today I want to share much more tangible facts that I have witnessed.
And yes, it really feels great just to witness it, much more to be the generous one in the story, however, in my personal case, I am not always as generous as I would like to be, many times I wish I could give more.
On Sundays I work in a bakery in a popular area of Caracas, it is common that people arrive to ask or that they don't have the money for the purchase. I have seen more than once how people buy several pieces of bread and share them with someone who claims not to have enough money.
Generosity in the bakery
Once a lady asked me for the price of almost every type of bread on offer and in her expression it was almost noticeable that she did not carry money to pay, but really wanted or needed to take the bread.
A girl waiting at the counter ordered 2 large loaves of bread and asked for them to be delivered in separate bags. To my and the lady's surprise, the girl gave her a loaf. It was a moment full of good vibes and these are actions that I believe become contagious.
I have witnessed moments like this more than once and I have also been the one who sometimes gives away some bread. It feels good to be able to do it and even more so when you feel that the other person is really in a bind or is simply hungry and for life's sake can't even afford a piece of bread at that moment, that's why I believe that generosity often has to do with empathy.
A contribution of money, when the giver perhaps needs it most.
In previous posts I have commented on the state of my mother's health, among other things, the economic cats have been crazy.
We have a sibling group via WhatsAap by which we exchange information regarding the family.
Recently my mother had a medical appointment and the cost was $50. The information was passed through the group so that everyone, to the extent of their possibilities, could contribute a part to complete the amount.
Immediately, one of my siblings passed a screen shot with the transfer for the total amount, his wife had just been paid part of the liquidation for having retired from work, she without even thinking about it made the transfer at once, even though she had just become unemployed and has 3 small daughters who depend on her. Wow she gave us a great lesson, I think generosity has a lot to do with nobility as well.
Feeding the kittens
One of the acts of generosity that I have witnessed and that I often remember, was when on one occasion a gentleman in a square fed some cats. I don't know why he caught my attention since I saw him even though I had no idea what he was going to do, he was carrying some bags and purses and suddenly he took out a whole piece of mortadella and a knife, started cutting pieces and offered it to the cats that were wandering around the place.
I can't say anything for sure about the economic resources of that gentleman, however, he seemed quite humble and it seems that he bought that piece of mortadella just to feed the cats. I believe that many times generosity has to do with love.
Now I will say goodbye, I do not want to say too much, generosity has more to do with deeds than words, however, it is worth talking about it to see if the world is infected with more generosity.

Hoy quiero compartir pequeños relatos de historias reales de generosidad, aprovechando que es el tema del mes. Que mejor que hablar de esta cualidad que enaltece el alma con ejemplos reales.
Entiendo la generosidad como la acción de dar sin esperar nada a cambio, incluyendo incluso lo inmaterial, ya que, podemos ser generosos con nuestro tiempo por ejemplo, sin embargo, hoy quiero compartir hechos mucho más tangibles que he podido presenciar.
Y sÃ, realmente se siente muy bien tan solo presenciarlo, mucho más ser el generoso de la historia, sin embargo, en mi caso personal, no siempre soy tan generosa como quisiera, muchas veces quisiera poder dar más.
Los domingos atiendo una panaderÃa en una zona popular de Caracas, es común que lleguen personas a pedir o que no tengan el dinero completo para la compra. He visto más de una vez como personas compran varias piezas de pan y las comparten con alguien que dice no llevar el dinero suficiente.
Generosidad en la panaderÃa
Una vez una señora me preguntó por el precio de casi todos los tipos de panes que se ofrecen y en su expresión fue casi notorio que no llevaba dinero para pagar, pero realmente querÃa o necesitaba llevar el pan.
Una chica que esperaba en el mostrador, ordenó 2 panes grandes y pidió fuesen despechados en bolsas separadas. Para mà sorpresa y la de la señora, la chica le regaló un pan. Fue un momento lleno de buena vibra y son acciones que creo se vuelven contagiosas.
He presenciado momentos como este más de una vez y también he sido quien a veces regala un poco de pan. Se siente bien poder hacerlo y más cuando sientes que la otra persona realmente está en un aprieto o simplemente tiene hambre y por cosas de la vida en ese momento no puede costear ni un trozo de pan, por eso creo que la generosidad muchas veces tiene que ver con la empatÃa.
Un aporte de dinero, cuando quien da quizás lo necesita más
En publicaciones anteriores he comentado acerca del estado de salud de mi madre, entre otras cosas, los gatos económicos han sido una locura.
Tenemos un grupo de hermanos vÃa WhatsAap por el cual intercambiamos información referente a la familia.
Recientemente mi madre tuvo una cita médica y el costo fue de $50. Se pasó la información por el grupo para que cada quien en la medida de sus posibilidades aportara una parte para completar el monto.
De inmediato, una de mis hermanos pasó un capture de pantalla con la transferencia por el monto total, a su esposa acababan de pagarle parte de la liquidación por haberse retirado del trabajo, ella sin siquiera pensarlo hizo la transferencia de una vez, aún cuando acababa de quedarse sin empleo y tiene 3 hijas pequeñas que dependen de ella. Vaya que nos dio una gran lección, creo que la generosidad tiene mucho que ver con la nobleza también.
Alimentando a los gatitos
Uno de los actos de generosidad que he presenciado y que recuerdo a menudo, fue cuando en una oportunidad un señor en una plaza le dio de comer a algunos gatos. No sé porqué llamó mi atención desde que lo vi aunque no tenÃa ni idea de lo que iba a hacer, llevaba algunas bolsas y bolsos y de pronto sacó una pieza entera de mortadela y un cuchillo, comenzó a cortar trozos y se lo ofreció a los gatos que deambulaban por el lugar.
No puedo asegurar nada acerca de los recursos económicos de ese señor, sin embargo, parecÃa bastante humilde y parece que compró esa pieza de mortadela solo para alimentar a los gatos. Creo que muchas veces la generosidad tiene que ver con el amor.
Ahora me despido, no quiero extenderme mucho, la generosidad tiene que ver más con hechos que con palabras, sin embargo, vale la pena conversar al respecto a ver si el mundo se contagia de más generosidad.
