The title of best NBA coach was won by Nick Nurse after receiving the most votes from the votes of global sports journalists consisting of writers and broadcasters. The journalists chose their version of the best coach based on the results of matches since the start of the regular season in March 2020.

As a result, the title of best coach this season fell to Nurse, who brought the Raptors to 53 victories from 72 matches in the 2019-2020 NBA regular season.
