Betting right now is quite hard both because lines tend to be really sharp and the fact that I keep getting stuck on the wrong side of variance at the moment. So my overall approach is to keep a low profile and limit my stakes until with the hope for things to change. So far I'm down around -0.3 units on the week after 5 matches so overall the damage is limited and there are 7 more matches to be played.
Charleroi vs OH Leuven
Charleroi has a decent team and they started the season with a good streak and positive momentum which recently died down a bit. They are now 4 matches without a win (2 draws vs Anderlecht & Brugge while losing against Dender & Standard). Their big problem seems to be creating chances against an opponent who doesn't give space away and the opponent today is exactly such a team. Charleroi has been better at home going 4W-1L against the asian handicap so home advantage certainly is a thing. At the same time they went 0.5W-4L-0.5P on their home over line. OHL is also a team I would rate close to the quality of Charleroi but they are also in a streak of bad results with 3 losses and 2 draws in their last 5. Last week however, they gained some confidence coming back from 0-1 to a draw at home against Antwerp. Maertens is injured for OHL but there are many players potentially to replace him and Goalkeeper Koné is injured for Charleroi along with Guiagon but Defourny should be an ok replacement in goal. My lean was on 1H under 1 goals but I waited too long and missed my entry as odds went down. I did take a very cautious 0.1 unit bet on
OH Leuven +0.25 @ 2.070 as they are a team that I generally want to back as the underdog. OHL is 10W-1L on the over in corners even though it never really feels like they are pushing and creating corners as a result of it so I'm not willing to chase that.
Dender vs Kv Mechelen
Mechelen based on the personal ratings I give each team on their performance now over the past 3 weeks ranks #1 for me. They are coming of 2 solid home matches against Kortrijk and OHL (3-0 & 5-0) while they lost undeserved away against Genk (2-1) and the away match before also undeserved against AA Gent (2-0). Dender started the season great and are still an ok home team that brings good enthusiasm and pressing. This brought a fun match at home against Anderlecht which ended in a 1-1 score (1.61-1.46xg), they also won 1-0 against Charleroi at home (0.5-1.06xg) as the visitors were unable to break their defense. Last week away they against showed that hey have a good defense playing 0-0 while creating next to nothing themselves. Mechelen so far is 5W-0L on the under away so with Dender as a team who tends to have a good defense I don't expect a goalfest today. I'm taking my chance on the visitors based on what they showed in the previous matches. 0.4 units on

Sint-Truiden vs Westerlo
Sint-Truiden after Mazzu took over actually became a better team which seems to be under the radar as they failed to win their last 3 matches. Against Genk they took an early red card which screwed them while they looked ok both before and after. However, key offensive player Brahimi is suspended today which likely will have an impact. Agaings Gent away they took a more than deserved 1-1. So stvv certainly has become a team on my radar. Westerlo their main problem has been not getting goals against as their goalkeeper keeps making big mistakes each match while the young defense has talent but needs to work together better. They also are without Bayram who is suspended and they have a problem on the right wing position with both Reynolds and Bos injured. Mazzu is known as a defensive coach but their xg both for an against in the last 3 matches was pretty high. I expect Westerlo to put a bit moe focus on defense and brahini out also reduces the offensive quality of Stvv. I took cautious 0.1 unit bets on
