The 2010 Treble will forever be etched in the memories of Inter fans. The "Nerazzurri" became the first and still only Italian team to win all three seasonal competitions: the Serie A title, the Coppa Italia, and the Champions League.
The driving force behind this success was undoubtedly their coach, Josè Mourinho. The Portuguese coach created an extremely cohesive team, capable of, among other things, emerging unscathed from Camp Nou against Guardiola's Barcelona. His famous run on the Catalan field after securing the draw that sent his team to the Champions League final, which they went on to win against Bayern Munich, is still remembered.
Mourinho will turn 60 on January 26th. Among the birthday wishes for the coach, one in particular stands out for Inter fans: that of Marco Materazzi. The former defender paid homage to the coach with a letter published in Sportweek. The following is an excerpt:
"You made us feel so strong, all of us. You only had one mistake, boss: leaving. With you, that Inter team could have won for who knows how long. Do you remember the scolding you gave me when I left the training match? But I had scored a golden goal... That's just how you are, you don't even care about time!"
