It is with a whole new attitude that I write this post today. I feel like the last couple of months have been pretty doom and gloom for me because of how my team has been doing.

Well, this week brought me a lot to be happy about, so sit tight because you just might not be able to handle my excitement.

Monday brought us two games in the top 25. One of them was an upset and the other was not. Unranked Oklahoma State took down #18 Texas Tech in overtime by about five points. This one really shouldn't be that big of a surprise. I feel like the Cowboys have been bouncing in and out of the top 25 most of the season, so they definitely have it in them.

I heard that a group at Oklahoma State created an account on Hive about a week or so ago. I don't know how accurate that is, but welcome if they really are here. Congrats on the win.

Tuesday night is where my week really started to pick up.

If you remember from my last post, my Michigan State Spartans had a nice upset win over Indiana on the weekend. It scored me a nice $7 win on my sport betting app and apparently it may have given the Spartans the spark they needed to push through the end of the season.

The unranked MSU team gave the #5 (that's right, in the nation) Illinois team a nine point beat down. Somehow I missed that they were even playing, but I read the score line after the game and it looks like the majority of their offense came in the first half. They outscored the Illini who kept it close in the second half. Thankfully it was enough to give MSU the win!

In other upsets, unranked Georgia Tech took down #16 Virginia Tech. Unranked Kansas State also had a big upset win over #7 Oklahoma. Ole Miss beat #24 Missouri for the final upset victory of Tuedsay.

It should be noted that #2 Baylor continues their perfect season, but it was close with them only beating Iowa State by five points.

Wednesday night gave us five played games and one postponed. It is nice to see more and more played games and less postponed ones each week. Hopefully that means we are starting to get this Covid thing under control.

The upsets continued on Wednesday with North Carolina State beating #15 Virginia at Virginia. #20 Arkansas took down #6 Alabama (when did the Crimson Tide get all the way up to #6?).

That was it for upsets, but I just need to mention that #25 Tennessee did beat in-state rival Vanderbilt.

For me, the most exciting part about Wednesday night was watching my nieces team win yet another game and place themselves in the contention for the district championship. It is really awesome to watch her team play. When they are hitting on all cylinders it is really magical to see. Even though my niece doesn't get a ton of playing time, she plays her hardest and I love that.

Finally, Thursday night didn't disappoint either. We had one cancelled game and seven played games.

The biggest win of the night for me was unranked Michigan State taking down #4 Ohio State. That is so awesome. I finally feel like they might be getting their act together and this could be their road to the tournament after all. Who knows. The game against Michigan is going to be tough and they have Maryland to go through before that.

Beating a #4 and a #5 in the same week has to count for something though. It seems that Henry is really stepping up and has had some pretty amazing games. I think these final games and how they do in the Big 10 Tournament are really going to be the deciding factor in whether or not they make it to the big dance.

It will be interesting to see if these two wins move them back into the top 25 next week.

Gonzaga also continued their perfect season beating Santa Clara (shocker there). The other notable (and only) upset on Thursday was unranked Colorado over #19 USC. Nice job Buffaloes.

It should be noted that Boise State took #22 San Diego State into overtime. They lost, but still, what a push!

There is only one game on tonight and then another weekend full of action.

Check back on Monday for a full recap of all the top 25 games.
