Este año teníamos como meta acércanos a la comunidad Gamer cubana y colaborar con la Asociación de Deportes Electrónicos de Cuba (ADEC) ha sido el primer paso para ello. Un paso enorme creemos por haber sido parte del Primer Torneo de FIFA en Cuba como colaboradores, algo histórico y aún más si pensamos en que los mejores asistirán a los juegos Panamericanos representando a Cuba. Como comunidad fuimos con la idea de que nuestros CuHivers asistan para pasar un rato en familia, promocionar el uso de Hive entre los asistentes y jugadores del torneo, así como conectar con las distintos negocios y emprendimientos que allí estuvieron. Todas se cumplieron pero que sean los que asistieron el jurado de ellos.
Por la parte promocional tuvimos el apoyo del proyecto @hivecreators para los diseños de stickers, un video que se pudo ver en una pantalla de 7x3 metros para todo el público en distintos momentos del evento y un flyers con la información necesaria, además de contar con el apoyo de @valueplan para la creación de estos, así que a ambos el agradecimiento enorme de toda la comunidad por hacerlo posible. Los miembros de la comunidad no se quedaron atrás, tanto @crptogeek como @karelnt dieron el paso al frente para pasar casi todo el evento respondiendo cualquier pregunta de quienes se acercaban a conocer sobre Hive y la comunidad. Por mi parte (@manuphotos) les ayudaba a cada rato, pues debía apoyar al evento documentándolo como fotógrafo mayormente, ademas ser entrevistado en ocasiones.
This year our goal was to get closer to the Cuban Gamer community and collaborating with the Electronic Sports Association of Cuba (ADEC) has been the first step to do so. A huge step we believe for having been part of the First FIFA Tournament in Cuba as collaborators, something historic, and even more if we think that the best will attend the Pan American Games representing Cuba. As a community, we went with the idea that our CuHivers attend to spend some family time, promote the use of Hive among the attendees and players of the tournament, as well as connect with the different businesses and enterprises that were there. All of them were fulfilled but let those who attended be the jury of them.
For the promotional part we had the support of the @hivecreators project for the sticker designs, a video that could be seen on a 7x3 meters screen for all the public at different times of the event, and a flyer with the necessary information, in addition to having the support of @valueplan for the creation of these, so to both the huge thanks from the entire community for making it possible. Community members were not left behind, both @crptogeek and @karelnt stepped forward to spend almost the entire event answering any questions from those who came to know about Hive and the community. For my part (@manuphotos) helped them all the time, as I had to support the event by documenting it as a photographer mostly, as well as being interviewed on occasion.
Esto permitió que una periodista de prensa extranjera se nos acercara y se fuera con la idea de hacernos un reportaje mas adelante. También el vicepresidente de la Unión de Informáticos de Cuba se quedó muy interesado en la posibilidad de crear juegos dentro de la blockchain de Hive y de amparar de forma legal a la comunidad, esto último nos podría abrir muchas puertas y no solo a la comunidad, sino al uso de HIVE y HBD en la isla. Si mas no recuerdo también se nos acercó parte del personal de INDER para ver las vías en que nuestra comunidad podría ayudar a al movimiento del deporte electrónico en Cuba. Y no queremos dejar de lado las conexiones que se han hecho con distintos proyectos y negocios, pero creemos que sería mejor hablar de ello cuando den frutos. Ya, por último, tuvimos la oportunidad de tener unos minutos para hablar frente a todas las personas que asistieron en lo que el video promocional se veía en la gran pantalla, todo frente a más de 300 personas, queda que nos den el dato exacto.
This allowed a foreign journalist to approach us and leave with the idea of doing a report on us later. Also, the vice president of the Union of Computer Scientists of Cuba was very interested in the possibility of creating games within the Hive blockchain and legally supporting the community, the latter could open many doors not only to the community but to the use of HIVE and HBD on the island. If I remember correctly we were also approached by INDER staff to see the ways in which our community could help the e-sports movement in Cuba. And we do not want to leave aside the connections that have been made with different projects and businesses, but we think it would be better to talk about them when they bear fruit. Finally, we had the opportunity to have a few minutes to speak in front of all the people who attended while the promotional video was shown on the big screen, all in front of more than 300 people, it remains for them to give us the exact number.
