Café Amelie en la 1era avenida de Los Palos Grandes. Un lugar precioso y que tenía mucho tiempo sin visitar. Lo recordaba un poco diferente o es que quizás la primera vez que lo visité fue tan a las carreras que ni siquiera me tomé el tiempo necesario como para detallarlo como se merecía.
Este es uno de esos lugares ideales como para ir a sentarse a dibujar un rato mientras te tomas tu café porque cada rincón de este lugar es sencillamente inspirador. En esta oportunidad probé la cheesecake de fresa, aunque para serles sincera quedé con las ganas enormes de probar la torta tiramisú pero está bien, porque esa será mi excusa para regresar pronto a este lugar.
Volviendo a la cheesecake, la verdad es que no me gustó demasiado. No me malinterpreten, no es que esté horrible sino más bien había algo en la textura que no me terminaba de encajar y siento que al sabor le faltaba algo para terminar de despertar al paladar. Eso sí, el café si es un 10/10.
Antes de decir qué opción probaría del menú, me asomé a la vitrina donde tenían todos los postres para, ustedes saben, hace un poco de control de calidad visual. Las galletitas inspiradas en la temática de Halloween me robaron una sonrisa y me hicieron recordar aquella entre 2020 y 2021 cuando pasaba gran parte de mi tiempo instalada en la cocina de mi casa preparando postres y algunas otras recetas nada convencionales.
Luego de visitar este lugar durante un Lunes por la tarde me dio algo de nostalgia. Me puse a pensar en lo olvidado que tengo mis vlog's de la sección Un Café con Mary y, más aún, lo olvidado que tengo compartir recetas. Sí bien mi blog aún sigue siendo inspirado por la comida y el café, el tipo de contenido ha cambiado. Esto no es que me moleste demasiado, porque la evolución es parte del mismo proceso, pero aún así me gustaría retornar a esos inicios.
Café Amelie in the 1st avenue of Los Palos Grandes. A beautiful place that I hadn't visited for a long time. I remembered it a little differently or maybe the first time I visited it was so rushed that I didn't even take the time to detail it as it deserved.
This is one of those ideal places to go and sit and sketch for a while while you drink your coffee because every corner of this place is simply inspiring. This time I tried the strawberry cheesecake, although to be honest, I really wanted to try the tiramisu cake, but that's okay, because that will be my excuse to come back to this place soon.
Going back to the cheesecake, the truth is that I didn't like it very much. Don't get me wrong, it's not that it's horrible but rather there was something in the texture that didn't quite fit me and I feel that the flavor lacked something to finish awakening the palate. The coffee is a 10/10.
Before deciding which option I would try from the menu, I peeked into the display case where they had all the desserts to, you know, do a little visual quality control. The Halloween-inspired cookies stole a smile and reminded me of the time between 2020 and 2021 when I spent most of my time in my kitchen preparing desserts and some other unconventional recipes.
After visiting this place on a Monday afternoon I got a little nostalgic. I got to thinking about how forgotten my vlog's from the Un Café con Mary section are and, even more, how forgotten I have forgotten to share recipes. While my blog is still inspired by food and coffee, the type of content has changed. This doesn't bother me too much, because evolution is part of the same process, but I would still like to go back to those beginnings.
