7 Things People Dont Know When Starting A "Ketosis" Diet

Hello Steemit Friends,

Do you want to know about ketosis? Do you want to understand how ketosis works?

From my previous post about this, “Ketosis” is something which you will hear a lot of times when you are talking about losing your weight. Depending on the type of your body size, ketosis can eventually help you lose a hefty amount of fat from your body. Therefore, many health and fitness gurus recommend ketogenic diets to help others get rid of their unnecessary fatty cells from various parts of their body.

Having said that, ketosis is also a term that can come to one’s mind if they are diabetic. When a person with diabetes shows a sign of ketosis, it usually means that they are lacking insulin in their body so they have to consume insulin after learning about ketosis. Furthermore, ketosis can become very dangerous when too many molecules called ketone build up inside one’s body. So, people have to carefully monitorthe level of ketones in their body.

Here are the 7 things you probably don’t know !!

Weight loss

As I have mentioned above, ketosis is a magic term for people who want to decrease the amount of fat present in their body. Ketosis is a natural process which happens when your the body doesn’t get needed amount of carbohydrates and then it starts consuming the fatty cells located in places like your belly to help keep your body organs running.

Loss of Appetite

When people are following the ketogenic diet, they normally don’t eat any food that has a high amount of calorie and carbohydrate. And as you might know, I highly prefer food items that are saturated with carbohydrates. So, when you don’t eat things that you usually eat, you begin losing your appetite as you are not eating your favorite foods like hamburger and pizza.

Increased Focus and Energy

Are you that person who always feels exhausted and tired due to the stress of work and family? If so then ketosis can help you regain some activeness as it can increase your focus and keep you fueled up all day long by producing ketones.

Short-Term Fatigue

While you may think about ketones as a power reserve to help you stay powered up, the first few weeks of transitioning is very tough as your body starts searching for glucose to power itself. However, in doing so, your body starts experiencing fatigue and exhaustion for short period of time frequently.

Toilet Issues

Despite the fact that most of the general people don’t feel any problem while on a ketogenic diet, there is a slight chance that you might experience some toilet issues. So, get ready to experience some bowel problems as you prepare your body to become in tone with ketosis. Diarrhea and constipation are some examples of toilet issues which you might have to face.

Bad Breath

Bad breath is another thing that you won’t like to have which is usually caused by halitosis. Also, for
your information, halitosis happens because of the ketogenic diet. Moreover, I recommend using mouth fresheners and chewing sugar-free gums to help you with your bad breath.

Increased Ketones

Many people seem to stay carefree about their ketones level. But if they truly want to stay healthy and fitwithout the need of going to the hospitals, they need to monitor their ketone levels. Time and time again, people seem to forget that ketosis is a natural, biological process that can produce the higher number of ketones. And these ketones can cause severe harm to you unless you monitor their levels once every 1 month.
