Fruits & Veggies Monday Entry
Today I am eating fresh greens harvested from our local community garden just two blocks from us.
The community garden is open and free for anyone to use. There is already a large variety of plants, flowers, trees, vines and especially GREENS!!!
Greens are absolutely packed full of nutrients, minerals, vitamins and pure life creating energy.
They are way underrated and under eaten.
Fresh, vibrant greens, herbs and vegetables should be a large portion of our diet. Many people could find major changes in their health and vitality by simply incorporating MORE GREENS.
Tips to help us eat more greens:
Grow them yourself! If you are around them and you have an abundance you're more likely to eat them.
Put them in smoothies, or hide greens by blending into sauces and soups.
Make sure to eat at least one salad a day.
Stir fry greens like kale, chard or mustard for breakfast with onions and potatoes
Use a juicer or a blender to make green juices in advance.
Make one big salad without dressing on it and eat through out the week.
Remind each other to eat our greens 💕
Arugula, swiss chard, kale, mini broccoli, mustard greens and dandelion greens freshly harvested from our community garden!
And a dried Calendula flower harvested last fall.
This is my first time entering the fruits and veggies competition.
Thanks @lenasveganliving for the opportunity to share healthy eating with a larger community.
I am excited to connect with more of you and inspire each other 🌟
Here are a few more pictures from the garden and my neighborhood.
Thanks & many healthy blessings
