the origin of hallowen goes back 300 years before Christ in northern Europe where a civilization known as the Celts, and their group of priests called druids, held a festival each year in honor of San Jain whom they considered the god of the death, to whom they offered sacrifices to calm their anger, they believed that tonight the physical world was united with the spiritual world, the druids passed house by house asking that the families offer a sacrifice for san jain, if the family cooperated then they they left a pumpkin with a candle inside as meaning that they had cooperated then the demons did not hurt them, but if they did not cooperate they marked their house and the spirits could do whatever they wanted. this is where the famous hallowen, sweet or mischief party originates.
and of course you have to open pumpkins to help people
