BLACKNESS OF THE BILE

images (4).jpg Let’s take a walk down the dark path,
Listening to the birds chirp in a distance while day unfolds into night before our very eyes.
Let’s plunge deeper into the darkness,
Exploring the loneliness that’s our haven.
Don’t be scared to hold my hand
As I lead us through the path way of obscurity,
Let’s follow the rhythm of the night breeze
As it leads us to unanswered questions about our insalubrity.
In our brief moment of sanity we could pause and examine
In the split second that it all makes sense we could ask;
What exactly is it that we seek?
The deeper we go, the deeper we feel we have to go.
We gasp for breath and yet tighten the noose around our necks.
At this point our journey becomes but an exploration of who we are
Who we are is what we feel.
I am the pain that I feel
Basked in the warmth of my own anguish and sheltered in my worst fears,
So are you.
I am the anger,
I am the spite,
I am the little voices in my head singing me sweet tunes of gloom
While I drown in my misery,
So are you.
I am the raw bitter sweet taste of depression
Drenched in melancholia
Quilted into perfect disequilibria,
So are you.

As the darkness caves in on us,
And the cold night breezes through our skin
Remember,
We are in this world all that we are truly not
And what we feel is all that matters.
Until you wake,
And then all that matters is what you do not feel.
