Recently a lot of people have entered the wonder world of gardening due to a number of different reasons. Some people had nothing else to do during quarantine. Others have may have always wanted to become more self sufficient and this was a time the opportunity presented itself. Whatever a persons reasons to start gardening, tomatoes are usually a new gardeners first purchase from the box store of their choice. Tomatoes are a good choice for a beginning gardener to start with. You don't have to be an expert to get tomatoes to produce. They can be particularly hardy and do well in multiple climate zones. By getting indeterminate tomato plants that most box stores carry, the new gardener will get a yield in a pretty timely manner which encourages them to continue on their own path of growth.

I made a video with some of my top tip for a new gardener to get the most out of their plants and take their experience and up a notch. I shot the video at night because the heat index here in Houston had been over 100 for a couple of days. I included here a day time picture of a tomato plant that I am applying the vertical gardening technique that I speak of in the video. I have a couple more videos already planned. If we don't get some nice temps here soon I may as well do another Night Gardening video. I actually spend a good amount of time in the garden at night so it wouldn't be a big deal to start a night Gardening series. Please watch the video and remember:
*Plant them deep
*Vertical Garden
*Remove Suckers
*Water Well
