MR. SHIFTY RESPECTS MY TIME, SO I RESPECT MR. SHIFTY

I don't have time to review every game I play anymore. So if I don't have a meaningful experience within the first minute, I begin to question whether the game is worth my time. When I booted up Mr. Shifty, I was immediately thrown into the action. At first glance it looks like Miami Hotline. Except Mr. Shifty doesn't give a shit about walls. Or walking. He can teleport past anything. It's a fresh approach that gives a new dimension to map design-- and the developers of Mr. Shifty have given this a lot of thought.

Without spoiling too much or being long winded (Mr. Shifty wouldn't approve), the game's difficulty increases nicely, adding new enemies and environmental features throughout each level. There comes time for some action-puzzle elements with emphasis on the action to keep things moving. I had lots of fun picking up weapons and figuring out the best order to cause chaos. Oh and there's friendly fire among the badguys, so one technique is to lure them into the line of fire so they kill each other. Nice!

One minor issue: frame rate dips. Was never a problem for me, but I know a few people will bitch about it so fair warning. Time to upgrade my PS4-regular.

Thank you Mr. Shifty.
