This entrance is forbidden, the entrance is grace
It was here long before us all came to be a human race
Long before living things, and before we had a face
Before we made to be, and before there was a space
Tactfully placed
Beautifully traced
We are here now at this ostentatious gate
During our lives, we hurry up and wait
We stand still now, our stillness gaining in weight
Knees buckling with this mess as we try to relate
Humility deflated
Sins created
Standing still now awaiting to be berated
This once grand entryway now faded
Replaced with a nothingness that we created
Hopelessly, and aimlessly standing and waiting
Knowing nothing will come, but here I am suffocating
Waiting my turn
Placating my concern
This entrance is forbidden, the entrance is grace
It was here long before we all came to be a human race
This entryway will remain long after we are gone
Awaiting the new cycle of life to go wrong
