If freedom actually existed a person could make a living using whatever skills they possess without fear of jail. A person with a green thumb could grow whatever kind of fruits, vegetables, or flowers they desired without asking permission. They would not need a magical piece of paper obtained from another group of people granting them permission to do what they could do without permission.
A person could create things out of metal without needing inspections and again permission. Imagine what could be created. Imagine what could actually happen if a person were allowed to hold their destiny in their own hands. They would not need to jump through hoops and fill out stacks of forms simply seeking permission to do whatever they wish to do.
What if we as a people just simply stopped asking permission? What if the free market was actually free? Free from permission requirement and the fees that come along with it. This is how it used to be. In the name of security and protection we gave up this way of life. We gave up the ability to have complete control over our own lives because true freedom is a scary concept. "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself" a phrase uttered by FDR many decades ago is a statement that has more truth in it than any other phrase uttered by any politician ever. If you really think about it, we have in fact traded away our very lives in the name of fear. Now we are so afraid of everything that we suffer from paralysis. We are afraid to say things that should be said out of fear of offending. We are afraid to take actions because we fear what others may think. We think that living life is the ability to travel around or to purchase items we do not need in order to impress those we will never know.
What if we just stopped? What if we started taking action because we knew those actions were right regardless of the rules. What if we put fear away and started being human beings again? What kind of world could we live in if people would help each other, care about each other, what kind of world could it be if we dispelled the illusion of race? If we were free, completely and truly free, many of the issues we have would no longer be issues.
If freedom actually existed and we could actually handle freedom the world could be a much better, much kinder place. If only.
