Fractally Messaging: Voting versus Ranking

Joshua Seymour has recently been asking the community for some feedback on best sales pitches for Fractally, this is timely considering Matt Langston also just published a graph showing that last week on Sept 30th was the first meeting with no new members joining.

Messaging: Freedom and Honest Voting

Fractally offers new members a chance to "Rank" contributions and reach "Consensus", which is technically accurate. However, I believe the words are not suited for mass appeal. I propose offering members a chance for the very first time engaging in "Honest Voting". After all isn't that what we are doing? I understand this is covered in Daniel Larimer's More Equal Animals in Chapter 2, True Democracy, however that material is for a very small percentage of people to consume. We are talking about messaging here and all I hear after 20 meetings is rank, rank, consensus, rank, consensus. We are voting on contributions. Nowadays honest voting is an act of rebellion, and the natives are restless. We should welcome new members to engage in an act of human freedom, the act of voting, and having it counted! This is more invigorating and exciting messaging rather than come join a consensus meeting and calculate a wide range of contributions in a rank order, Zzzzzzzzz

We are De-Gov, it's about time we act like it and own it. Fractal governance is Populist. Populism is sweeping the globe and being stunted by......ahem, yes rigged voting, which is what we offer a solution to! Fractally provides the opportunity for human action in a cutting edge Web3 fashion. Freedom is popular as the great Ron Paul has quipped, we need to sell freedom. The freedom to vote and have it counted!
